He probably looked a lot like this guy:

As usual, shut the hell up.
He was brown...
He was BLING!

He was an arab. He had to be, consider his environment where he taught his teachings. No nordic blue eyed man could survive that.
Geographically speaking,he should be Middle Eastern.
BIG-
I agree he was Middle Eastern. It only makes sense
I picture him more of a mix of black and white.
You know, like a mixed swirl of chocolate and vanilla soft frozen yogurt.
he was like michael jackson, white on the outside and black on the inside
If you must know...http://www.outsports.com/nfl/esera%2...so%20photo.jpg
he was brown
purple
I think Jesus being in the Middle East...was obviously darker than the White, Blond, Blue-eyed surfer that they portray him as in paintings. I went to roscoe's chicken and waffles and they had a Black Jesus painting...which is probably a lil more accurate...
But definitely he was darker....
this leads me to two things:
1. Bobak is the MODERN Jesus...i mean, just look at him and tell me thats not holy.
2. Omnipoint Deity has gone too far, and needs to be put in his/her place...which will include the occanional "STFU" if need be...
I'd worship himQuote:

yuck.
The Bible says Jesus had "hair like wool...feet the color of brass".
Definitely a much darker mutha than the image we all have of Christ.
The irony? He'd be lynched in any number of places in the "Bible Belt".
millions of white people worshiping a black man? Oh the irony
Jesus wasn't white and/or black.
If you're going to quote the bible for evidence as to what race he belonged to, it says he was descended from the house of David.
David=Israelite King= Jew
Jesus= Jew as were most of his followers until the religions seperated *completely* 200 years after his death
Jews = Uprooted descendents of Abrham and his followers who originally lived in and around Babylon, located in what is now modern Iraq.
Jesus= From one of the lighter skinned middle eastern ethic groups, but wasn't white by any means and definitely wasnt black.

Jesus = second from right, grande bling.
Jesus was sure as hell no white man... he would look like a middle eastern man with dark skine.
Where in the Bible does it say this?! I've been looking for ten year for this scripture!Quote:

not all jews are the same 'color' - and you take your average jew and put him next to your average Palestinian, and you would not notice the difference.
are they not from the same ethnic group in the end?
Jews are originally a arabic race from my understanding.
Does it fucking matter? Besides, I was under the assumption He was a Trojans fan. :smirk:
Well, if you believe of him for whom the Bible says he is, he was only dead for 3 days, so his flesh never decomposed before he rose again, but yeah, you were making a joke. I get it.Quote:

What's your point?Quote:

Anomalous because these groups were seperate from the mainline Ashkenasi and Sephardic groups who migrated in larger groups into Spain and later into Europe. Where the assimilation was cultural and not generally speaking genetic.
Regardless of that it's completely irrelevant because the time of the "New Testament" was pre-diaspora by several centuries (they were all in Israel, the second temple was still intact and so was it's authority and as such all the jews lived roughly within the boarders of isreal.) They would of just been a relatively standard middle eastern ethnic group that lived within a clearly defined territory i.e within the boarders of what was the kingdom of Israel and eventually became the Roman provence of Palestine.
In other words what you're highlighting is completely irrelevent to the conversation because Black, Asian, racially diverse jewish communities only exist due to the mixing that occured as a result of the diaspora which happened a few centuries AFTER the death of Jesus. They would of been uniformly representative of the people in the middle east or more specifically the people of Mesopotamia who they originally splintered off from.

As for the Jews/Palestinian thing. Palestinians are a mix of syrians, saudis, and jews who converted to islam during the crusades all mucked together into a national identity during the 1950's. Related but not the same people by any means. Jews are generally a fair bit lighter than the palestinians but as a bench mark Jesus wouldnt of been darker than the Palestinians who aren't that dark to b egin with while possibly being as light some ashekanazi jews (could pass for southern european).
doh!! there where no frigging trains back then!! honestly Scanline, sometimes you make up the strangest things.Quote:

good read, didn't understand most of it, and I was just pointing out than not all jews are the same colour, nothing more.
the dilema is, if JC was a Jew, who was his father really (god genes?)? did he have issues?

Black Jews are the result of the original middle eastern Jews going to ethiopia and intermarrying with the local population centuries after Jesus died. Something similar happened in China where a group of Jewish men heading east took asian wives.
I.E. Jesus couldn't of been black because black jews didnt exist until a long time after he was dead. Only jews of the original middle eastern genetic stock were around.
It amazes me how many people don't take into account that the term "jew" can be both a religion and a race. A Korean can convert to being a Jew, doesn't increase the odds that jesus was Asian.
PS- He was mighty red after the Romans got through beating his ass.
we're all the same color on the inside :cool:Quote:

Since there are no mentions of Asians in the bible,I guess that's out of the question.Quote:

I mean follower wise. Why would a black person lead the jews? If im correct, didnt they hate each other, even at that time?Quote:
