I have a Neobitz component unit hooked up to a CRT.The screen is rolling up diagonally .
Will the LM1881 suffice?

Is it rolling or like a wave? If it’s moving like a wave, that’s the sync rate which only a DFO would fix.

The JROK sync cleaner is a really good alternative. It's very well-designed, and includes 2 stages of cleaning. It's cheap and robust, highly recommended.
