I know a fella, who is looking to purchase a large aes collection, and he was asking my opinion on prices. I have been out of aes for a long time, so some guidance would be appreciated. I did some ebay research, but some of this stuff is hard to find.

None of this is labeled as English, so I'm going to assume these are all jp. The said lot has an asking price of 3K, even, which doesn't seem right, I was thinking more in the $2250-2500 area, assuming all are complete, Japanese, and in decent shape.

I thought there use to be a what's it worth area? Please move if I missed that.

Some of the common titles seem kind of high, like kof94 jp is not a 70 dollar game.

Seconded... KoF '95 at $120? Fighter's History Dynamite at $90 -- and overall just a decent shape? C'mon... cut most of it in half and rate the pricier games minus 25%.

I would dsouble check first if there are any english releases in there. Could mean a big difference in pricing.

If all JP versions -> what oliverclaude said!

Art of fighting 3 for 550? Cray cray!

Yeah... That's why I'm asking. I'm way out of the loop, but those prices, at least the Commons, look double. He's getting me a definite list of region, and completeness now. So I will report back later. He said the seller is from the Facebook aes MVS collectors. Would it be OK to post his name if they do make a deal? I feel with a purchase this large, he should check references here, just in case.

I would pay 550 for AOF3 English, not JP. You're about right on the money to ask $2250 for the lot. I would even go $2000 if you can.

2003 ?

FTFY. English games would be more, of course, but judging from that list, they're probably JP.

PS. I wouldn't pay over $1500 for those as a lot, excluding KoF 2003.

Its getting harder and harder to find a copy of KOF 95 for under $100 unfortunately.

mainly because of conversions. all you need is another LS chip and you're good to go. That's one of the the problems. I wish I could get someone to create a custom board for games like ghostlop, ironclad, etc. so we aren't killing FF3, SS3 or Jet 2.

You are right, it is getting harder, yet, $120 is a stretch in the wrong direction and needed alignment ...or enlightenment. Talking of which, here are recent sales, at least 80% of them can be considered as genuine.

Japan: http://closedsearch.auctions.yahoo....&aq=-1&oq=&x=0&y=0&ei=UTF-8&auccat=0&slider=0

US & Canada: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...dhi=70&_nkw=king of fighters 95 neo geo&rt=nc

Average is at $60-$70 shipped -- and this was just a quick look. If you search longer, you'll find even lower offers.
