Picked this up last night.

The main game is mildly entertaining, with a load of mini games and some fluff story that involved wandering around some theme park type place.

However, this card has classic Bomberman!

1 card = DS download play for up to 8 players. Just been playing it with the better half and 6 CPU opponents. Quality stuff. Works really well on the two screens too.

Will be taking it into work tomorrow to take on the office!

You can also play up to 3 other opponents over WIFI too. Have yet to try that out yet.

Is it the nice seamless implementation with 2 screens like that in the Bomberman DS title? Game companies seem to be exploiting nostalgia as a selling point, in Pac 'n Roll, one of the Pac-Man moon stages, 7-1, was in fact the original Pac-Man, but that implementation was terrible, Namco didn't split up the top and bottom screen evenly, there was an overlapping area that showed up both on the top and the bottom screen... just terrible. Pac 'n Roll the game itself was actually pretty cool, but I gave up on some of the challenges, stopped at around 122 or 123 gems, I just couldn't collect the last 5.

No complaints on that front so far.

Have only played 2 of the stage variations to date. Mini Mini only uses one screen if that is your thing (pretty crazy with 8 players). The Normal level uses a number of tunnels to link the two areas (top and bottom screen).

Only thing about the Normal variation is that when time is running out, blocks fill up from the bottom screen to the top, so there is a definite advantage to being on the top screen at this stage.

Got to play with 3 other human opponents today over wireless download play.

Very, very good.

Considering this was unplanned it was a pretty good turnout. The DS is huge over here. All my opponents were female, and two of them are Bomberman veterans...

Should be going up against more humans on Friday. Should be able to get at least 6 in total.
