I have been working on my Irritating Maze cab recently and thought I'd share some stuff.
Spoiler:

The monitor went out last year when I took it to a convention so I had it fixed and recapped by a local FL tech (https://paulsmonitors.com/ - highly recommend if you are in central FL or willing to ship). The monitor is a Hitachi GMK-29FS3, which is a variant of the standard Neo Candy monitors.

2 of the 4 strobe lights were out due to a bad relay, which I replaced (G2R-1A-T 110VAC Omron Relay 100/(110)VAC - https://www.ebay.com/itm/154988654767). The cab has 2 of these so I ordered an extra in case the other one goes bad.

The air compressor (Nitto Kohki AC0610) works fine but the air smelled like phys-ed so I replaced the filter. If anyone needs a filter, let me know as I had to order 10 of them. These compressors are still being manufactured so if it dies you can replace the unit.

I also have a full kit for spare parts in case something breaks.

Good job keeping it alive and the mechanics fully restored!
A truly original title.
I've played this before at Casa Bonita but only put a few quarters in it and wasn't very good and played other games instead.
I frequently wish I played the dedicated version more.

So have you mastered it?

Thanks bro!

I'm good at it but the last level is tough. I haven't beaten it yet.

Yeah it seems hard.
Don't think it supports memory cards either.

How many levels is there and how long does it take to get there?

This game is fun as hell. Played at CA Extreme like 10 years ago. The joystick version pales in comparison to the trackball and air gun on a legit cab. Great work on the restore.

I've only ever seen these in person once back in 2003. Looking forward to seeing how it looks once restored. Looks to be in pretty good shape as it is, which is even more rare.

There are 4 courses: Practice, Novice, Expert and Professional. Practice is only available if enabled in the soft dips, as is the course select option. It's a quick course and you can't die.

Novice is easy enough. Expert just takes some practice. Professional is much longer than the rest and gets very challenging on the last couple of sections.

The total game time is short. You can complete the whole thing in under 10 minutes. Until today I've only ever played is on standard difficulty Level 4.

I kicked it down a couple of notches and was able to complete the final section of Professional. I think I could do it on normal or higher if the trackball was dialed in 100%. The precision seems slightly off when making fast movements.

I've never seen the real machine in person. I've only played through it at home with the Unibios joystick cheat.

Great stuff, I imagine half of the game's appeal is the air blower in the cab lol so great job in keeping another cab in working order.
