love the control deck, very clean looking. Is there space for the MVS carts to actually sit in the mobo ? It looks like the vertical space isn't enough to fit it, unless that table pulls out as well.

awesome job, I envy that setup for sure :buttrock:

Yes!

You can play the Neo Geo AES and the MVS 6-slot with games loaded.

I designed the shelves to allow 3/4" clearance between the top
of the AES and MVS carts and the shelf above them.

The 6-slot does have to be pulled out to load the 6 games.
But you have 6 games to play at any time!

I don't have to change the games very often with the 6-slot.

That looks freakin' sick, man...
If I still lived in florida, I would be taking some sort of pilgrimage to the neo geo holy land for worship, lol.

"When I think about you I touch myself"

I never thought these song lyrics would fit so well in a post. Although I guess not so much thinking of you but of your setup would be the proper wording.

Nice setup man. I don't know where you get the funding for such gaming goodness, but keep up the good work.

Just beautiful. Love how you made the entire thing from wood.

I just wish i had the money and the tools to get around to do something like that. Ah well, my supergun will do for now.

It's ok.
The work put on it shows a lot of perfection, and dedication, maybe you're
a carpenter?

I prefer my arcade room over that any day though.

Thanks for the complements!!

I know this isn't a traditional cab...
I wish I had the room to fit the number of cabs that I wanted.

I designed and built this one-of-a-kind custom arcade cabinet,
so I could hold ALL my games, and PLAY them from 1 place.

And no, I'm not a carpenter by trade. I don't even have a workshop.
I build all my stuff in my patio. As a hobby, I work with wood,
fiberglass, plexiglass, electronics, wiring, plumbing, etc.
I can fix almost anything that breaks around the house.
I've designed and built surf boards and skim boards (see picts below).

My First Traditional Cab
I built a "traditional cab" for my cousin's birthday a few months ago.
(see picts below), but I needed more space for my systems.
This was kind of a "test" to see how everything would fit together,
and it was decked out for $200 (my brother donated his 27" TV).
(This cab was also designed and built from scratch!)

It has traditional "backlit" marquee.
Light bars on both sides of the cab to light up posters.
Operational Dual Coin Door with lock
Arcade Joysticks with hinged panel
2 Speakers above the TV
27" TV (Beautiful when turned on!)
Blue T-Molding
Black Paint Job (This is the part my cousin helped with)

But how do I power the cab?
I placed a normal outlet in the back of the cab.
Then, I made a special electrical plug with prongs on both sides,
that plugs into the wall and plugs into the back of the cab.
Electrical outlets and the main power switches are inside!
You plug the TV, marquee, poster light bars, and the systems into
standard outlets inside the cab.

I have 4 different power switches behind the coin door:
1) Turns on just the marquee (so it lights up his room at night)
2) Turns on just the Poster Light Bars
3) Turns on just the TV (if you want to watch TV, or play DVDs)
4) Turns on just the Systems, so you can PLAY!

One of my Skim Board designs from earlier this year
This is a Professional Competition Board!
After I designed and cut the raw wood shape,
we brought it to the beach (7 minutes away) and tested it.
I was able to do 720 degree spins easily!
I could also do hand stands and head stands!

How much did it cost?
Wood: $5 (I can fit 4 skim boards on one 4x8 sheet of plywood)
Paint: $5
Sealer: $5 (4 coats)
Sticker/pin stripe: $3
X-Traction Pad: $24
Time to make: 1/2 day

Check out the layer carving under the nose.
You can never do a nose dive!
