Man, I finished the first game probably 3-4 times on the gameboy, second best action-adventure on there after Zelda.
:lolz: Even got platinum in Adventures of Mana.

Has it aged well? Or is it better to play the remake?

The original is still a fine game, doesn't take too long to play through either. Great music for a 1991 gameboy release too. The remake was pretty good, except that some weapons feel a bit different and the graphics show its mobile game origin being very cutesy and SD like. The remade soundtrack is really good.
