Rolling back in Ninja Master's

I think I once knew how to do this... I see the CPU roll backwards after getting hit/knocked down all the time... Does anyone know how to roll backwards after getting hit and knocked down??? Thanks!

Hmm, I looked up a few move lists and there's nothing about rolling.

if there´s a back roll in that game, then its news to me. post it if there´s one since i´ve been playing it lately.

Figured it out!!!

Yep... You hold down any button and back on the joystick as you're knocked down.

This move was never in any move list that I've ever seen, and I've been playing this game since day 1 in '96
