I just got a PSP again, and I went from 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.02 OE-A > 3.02 OE- B. I didn't research it good enough, and found out that there are later custom firmware updates.

what i'm wanting to know is, can I upgrade my 3.02 OE-B firmware straight to the 3.03 OE-C firmware?

You will have to use the same method, and get the official 1.5 / 3.03 firmwares to create your custom. I upgraded my friend's system from 1.5 straight to 3.10 OE-A, so you should be okay. You might want to consider 3.10 OE-A. :)

edit: Was going to also mention: Pretty sure you'll have to go to 3.03 OE-A first, then upgrade to OE-C.

If I wanted to be safe, I guess I could just go back to 1.5, then to either 3.03 OE-C or 3.10 OE-A. (I was reading 3.10 OE had some problems for some people?) I don't get why it wouldn't work going from 3.02 OE-B to 3.03 OE-A, considering they follow eachother. It's just that every tutorial i've seen goes from 1.5 to 3.03 OE-A directly, so I just wanted to make sure before making the jump.

and yeah i'll probably have to go to 3.03 OE-A then on.

It's really not THAT big of a hassle, I just wish I would have researched better before jumping into it. :emb:

You can go directly from 3.02 OE B to 3.03 OE C or 3.10 OE A. You only need the previous version when you want to install a revision with a ' . For example, to have the latest one, 3.10 OE A' , you need 3.10 OE A first, as it's only an update that takes a few seconds.

He didn't start now, it's you who jumped on the bandwagon later. He already did that with 2.71 B' and 2.71 B''. And still his notation is extremely clear.
