Q's on Puyo Pop Fever for DS

I picked up Puyo Pop Fever on the DS and it's doing something rather annoying.

I'm playing the Single Player Story Mode. (i.e. 8 stages). And when I'm playing my character goes into this fits of saying: "YOU BETCHA!". Often it sounds like:
"YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU BETCHA! YOU BETCHA! YOU BETYOU BETCHA" non-stop. It's like listening to a cutsey version of Max Headroom on speed.

Is my game faulty or is it how it's suppose to play?!

It's not annoying to me because I like the voice's & the game is very addicting.

Hey TonK are you getting Puyo Pop Fever for the PSP?.

I have it for DS and it's definitely not supposed to do what you describe! I'm not sure what would cause it to do that.
