has anyone done a light mod on a slim?

I think I've heard that, for the slimline, it is necessary to take out the link-port in order to have clearance for the light frame.

i do that for non-slim NGPC.

Is that absolutely necessary, or does it just make things easier?

I've got a sliver NGPC and a crystal blue Slim. It's really not a huge difference. The main reason I prefer the slim is for the see-through body.

I just realized I have a crystal blue slim, but I was unaware there was another design variant!
