NeoBiosMasta VMC alternative?

Hi,

I have an MVS1C and have been looking to add memory "card" support. I've seen the NeoBiosMasta VMC and they seem to be out of stock. Recently, I came across something similar on AliExpress: SNK Subscription Memory Card.

Do those types of memory card add-ons work without the bios chip on them? I already have UniBios 4, so I don't need the bios on the memory card board, but I wasn't sure if it's function as a memory card with out a bios chip populated or not.

This one will replace your current Unibios install. It requires the bios chip installed.

It's a "virtual" memory card, which means it will just be installed on this system. It's not a card swappable to other systems.
