How bad is MOTW on the multicart?

I'm debating letting my Garou go, as I have a multicart. However, I've heard it may be an early build of the game on the 161-in-1. Anyone know what the issues are?

Thanks,

Collin

It is a beta, and the game crashes when you use a certain characters TOP attack but I forgot which. I'd keep the cart unless you really like the version on the 161.

Even worse than I thought. Thanks for the quick replies! Definitely keeping my original.

Ya, if I recall correctly, the 120-in-1 cart version has the final build. The 161-in-1 is using the prototype.

Ugh I didn't know the 161 cart had a lame MOTW... Gotta get the original.

The 161 one is like the first roms appearing online, Kain has his winning pose voices cut. I got that cart and was one of the 1st titles I tried. Easy way to notice what rom version it was is to pick up Kain and win a battle.

Performing Kim Jae Hoon's T.O.P. attack will cause the game to reset.

Some odd background sprites appearing in the wrong place on Tizocs (wrestling ring) stage.

No proper endings in arcade mode, no game performance requirements to fight Kain, when time runs out in Survival mode the game doesn't move to the title screen again, it keeps the characters in their time out pose forcing you to press reset.

The text in the endings are all garbled.

Thanks for this thread. I was wondering if it was clearly worse but it sounds like a good enough excuse to get the original kit. I have a 161 in the mail on the way.

Its the biggest bummer for me on the 161 cart. Blows my mind that they didn't bother to check their rom set for it before making the cart.

120 in 1 and 138 in 1 versions are rock solid from what I can see. As other have said, the 161 in 1 version seems to be a proto or something - I've never crashed it, but I am pretty crap at it lol.

It seems to crash the easiest with the TOP movement of Hokutomaru.

I won't have to play the 161-1 version for much longer!

I have the MVS cart coming my way!

Sure man. I forgot to mention, you can use the same tracking number I gave you, on usps.com and it will show you info when the cart arrives to the US.

I've played the beta version on the 100-in-1 and decided to track down an original mvs cart. Fortunately at the time I was able to find a copy for under 100 bucks.
