A few more things I forgot to say.
As far as the American not being the Police force of the world. That fine with me, although I think we are still gonna have the job for quite some time. We have enough problems of our own and a slowing economy to boot so American politicians might have to budget their money (God forbid!!). I, personally, like to see countries defend for themselves, but to be honest, much of the world think Americans are made of money and ask for our help. Granted, there are situations where we butt in that I don't agree with, but unfortunately the people our govt feel it is important that we "maintain peace" around the world. One more thing I watned to address. You said you are sick of Americans having the Hollywood stereotype of WWII. Well, I am sick of the many countries in the world thinking we are slobs and lazy. A country does not have the largest GDP per capita by being lazy. A country does not have one of the most dynamic economy and productive society by being lazy. Many think all of us live on a farm (no offense to any farmers!) or in rural areas. Our economy is a sercie economy now and we look other places for production so we can specialize in things other countries cannot produce. As far as the EU becoming a superpower. I think it will be harder than you think. See, our 50 states, although, haveing rights, still have to follow our national govt. You guys are seperate countries with seperate languages and beliefs. I think it will be very hard to act in unison. Thanks.
