It's no delusion. I had held several records and if you don't think there legit, that's your hangup. I'm not the greatest when it comes to Neo-Geo games but in my heyday I would've whooped anyone on Magical Drop 3 easy!

You don't understand.
I'm sure your high scores are legitimate, that is, real and certified.
But on Twin Galaxies there are no real world records.
There are only the scores of North American players who submit their results on this platform. Those who don't, that is, 99% of the players in the world, are not included in their database. I know it seems like an easy concept to understand, but I've been fighting with people for 25 years to explain this trivial concept. Furthermore, 99% of the players in the world don't care about the work of Twin Galaxies, because many nations have their own database with their own system of rules and high scores. The true world high score for Magical Drop III is 7,222,536 (story mode), which was unofficially surpassed with a score of 8,770,000 recorded on videotape in August 1997. This latter score was not sent to the Japanese database because a bug in the game had been discovered in the meantime and it was decided not to collect new scores.
