From what I understand there are no fatalities in the home version of this game in JP mode, only blood, but if you change it to USA you get the green blood, but if you put in the code you get red blood and fatalities.

So what do I need to do? I have a JP Neo CD so it boots up with JP as the default. I tried chaging it to usa mode and putting in the code by pressing A+B+C+D on "Exit" in options, but when I go to "how to play" it still has the green blood.

What am I doing wrong?

Better yet can someone just walk me through exactly what I need to do?

Thanks.

From GameFAQs
Unlock Blood Mode
Put the cursor on exit then press: A+B+C+D while at options. Then choose Japan as the country and exit options. Afterwards choose USA as the country.

It seems the contributor may have been a tad confused. But from this press ABCD with cursor on exit, then choose Japan for country and exit. Then re-enter options and choose USA as region.

Good luck in getting it to work.

I really don't have a clue, but let me take a stab in the dark.

Let it start as normal, go to options and place the game in USA mode. Save the options if possible. Then re-enter options and try to pull off the code. If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. Maybe you could PM Neo_Ash or Kazuki_Dash. They'd be more apt to help better.

When you say fatalities do you mean when you for example slash the oponent in 2 with the last slash?
If your system is japanese, doesnt it give you red blood and if you choose English language in options?
If you got red blood and english language then be happy!:) there are no secret fatalities I know of except those last strike things that might happen if you for example finish your opponent with an A+B slash.

No, if I just change to USA mode it change the blood to green.

In JP mode there is red blood but no fatalities.

ah, the old blood problem for SS2 NEOCD...
I used to have the same problem with a Jap NEOCD console and I could only come up with one conclusion(if anyone can back this up please do):

the code simply does not want to work on a Jap console...maybe it's a programming omission or something, but I have tried everything I could think of and the code simply would not work for the Jap system...the only guess I could make is that since the game initially loads up in Japan Mode, it throws the whole code out of whack...

it's years later now and I have a US CD system, but I traded the CD for AES Cart format and with the Debug Bios blood is never a problem anymore...

dunno if this helps, but that's all I got for ya...

"I'm just simple country folk, givin' a referral to a specialist."
Or at least, that's somewhat how the saying goes...I think. If you don't know enough to answer the question dogmatically and be correct, the next best thing to do is always refer to a higher source of experience or learning.

At least, that's what most doctors and professors will do. Just following the example. I'm just a little sad to know the code doesn't work.

LOL, you guys...

Well I'm just holding on to the system for a little while anyway before I get an AES.

From what I remember, the on a Jap system you can get the blood but not the 'fatalities' and on an American system, with the cheat you get both.

When I did the cheat though, I only used to go to the options, set it to Jap and exit as normal, then go back in, set it to English and exit as normal. I'm pretty sure I never had to press all 4 buttons on either the CD or AES version.

THE CODE IS ONLY GOOD FOR US SYSTEMS. I PLAY IN JAPAN MODE JUST TO BE SURE, BUT IF YOU HAVE A JAP CD YOU SHOULD GET BLOOD AND BODY SPLITS WITHOUT HAVING TO DO ANYTHING. TO ME JAPAN MODE IS :) JUST MORE AUTHENTIC.
