Cool Cool Jam NGPC - How to play?

Hey folks, my favorite local game shop (Warp Zone) got in a bunch of NGPC stuff today, and I managed to snag Cool Cool Jam!

Can anyone give me a brief explanation of how to play it, what the modes are, etc?

I tried like hell to like this game but never succeeded. I remember doing OK at it but when when getting a good score it never felt like a real rhythm game.

Cool Cool Toon on the Dreamcast is a much better game.

i know it's a rhythm game, but I have never been able to figure out the NGPC version....
you might be able to find somethign for the DC, and try to apply it to the pocket version.

From what I remember I figured it out just fine. It just stinks. There’s so little musical feel to it that it’s easier with the sound off.
