Just 5 days short of her 97th birthday too!

My favorite role she played was the lead in Disney's Bedknobs & Broomsticks, which I watched a bazillion times when I was a kid.

I liked her as Elvis' mom in Blue Hawaii. She played a busy-body southern belle, and was pretty funny in the role. Much different than her Murder She Wrote era. In spite of the casting, she was only about 9 or 10 years older than Elvis in real life.

Aside from Eglantine Price, which M mentioned, her Mrs. Lovett was very good.

Like Patrick Stewart, she started playing older early in her career and aged in slow motion. This is her in The Manchurian Candidate in 1962.
