I haven't played WHP, but I like JET's tournament mode, which is alongside a forging of heroes mode.
normally, forging of heroes mode is recommended to do first cause that technically takes place before the tournament since the cliffhanger cutscene afterwards can be bridged towards the tournament mode. plus forging of heroes has really cool feature where you can select your opponents.
though yeah World Heroes Perfect doesnt seem like a tournament, doesnt it have 2 modes like the previous WH games? how do they differ?
I feel WH2JET's tournament mode is more consistent and profound with the tournament atmosphere than even KOF games (there are exceptions though, pretty much every stage in KOF96 had a tournament feel to it, except Iori team's stage. but still, nothing beats stadium tournaments)
I really dislike tournament games that take place in back alleys and stuff for fight locations, even with cameras televising the action to the world, its better to have a more stadium format, and while WH2Jet's 1 vs 3 format is weird for a tournament, its still epic (though yea the bull fighting, Captain Kidd fighting solo, felt more like diversions from the tournament format, but still cool.)
