Remember those little figures and the vehicles that transformed into weapons? I remember my grandma sent me $50 one xmas and I bought the Gas station that transformed.

I still want a live action movie of it...but I shouldn't say that because Michael Bay's group will get it and turn it into a clusterfuck like Transformers and Ninja Turtles. I would go for a Fast and The Furious over the top action flick with the transforming cars though.

Loved these toys as a kid. I remember going to kindergarten and when I would be dropped off in the mornings, this was always on. You can buy the complete series on dvd now. My favorite was the vehicle condor (I think that's what it was called) It was the motorcycle that transformed into a helicopter.

Those were AWESOME toys! I had the Mac truck, and the Formula car. Can't remember their names, but I tell ya, an F1 car that turns into a jet with the push of a button...kid heaven!

Loved that show! I had (and still have) several of the toys, including the Venom leader vehicle I inherited from my older (spoiled) cousin. I think they are all boxed up with my G1 Transformers.

Thank you kindly for this appreciation thread.

Loved the show, wanted the toys/vehicles, but only had enough money for a scant few toys, so I chose to get GI Joes and Transformers.

I learned my lesson early about taking any sort of toys out of the house.

I was just thinking, was there any cartoon in the 80s that didn't exist to sell toys?

Probably not, but the animation quality in M.A.S.K is definitely well beyond the average cartoon of it's time, so there was more going on here than a toy cash in.

I enjoyed MASK for the small amount of time it was around. I remember my local toy stores only carried them for a couple years.

For those unaware, Matt Tracker was released as a G.I. Joe in 2008:

That's badass, didn't know about that. I had saved my mask vehicles then around 2000 when ebay was just really getting popular I wound up selling several vehicles one there for several hundred dollars.

Checking out that figure more, it looks like the helicopter backpack is the same color as the motorcycle/helicopter vehicle

Some of these shows were deemed not popular enough to release toys. Many were planned.
- Orbots toys only existed as prototypes and never made it to market.
- Galaxy Rangers did have toys, but only in Europe.
- Ulysses 31 had toys.
- Thundarr the Barbarian had toys in prototype but were not released.

The other ones you listed, do not fit into the type of show that would have "action figures" produced.
