The place to discuss all other arcade hardware and software.
You know how this works.
Maybe better suited for the unrelated section , but anyway I'll get it started on here.
New Zero Team.
Welcome To MARS.

I thought it might be useful to compile a list of reputable vendors for arcade machines, parts, and accessories. I didn't see this info as such anywhere else on the site. If you have vendors to add, please list them.
I became a member today. So I shall have plenty of noob questions for you guys!
1) I got a Soul Calibur PCB. Plugged it into the jamma harness and it works. Can you change the resolutions or is it set? I just want to be sure I am running at max potential.
2) Important to me. I hooked up...
I was on youtube, and I came upon his channel. He's got interesting vids on his MVS stuff, Atomiswave and various other arcade stuff. Just curious if anyone here knows, has seen, or has subscribed to his channel. Check it out if you haven't...
I got myself and EAGO monitor chassis that the seller claims was used on a 38" Arcade CRT.
I have here several non working TVs. Many with problems on the boards, so I saw people using arcade chassis with CRT TVs.
So how do I find out if my chassis will work with my CRT tv?
Seems like it could be a sexy JAMMA machine if you can't find a Candy...
Since I was bored, I decided to run a comparison of 15khz on 6 different monitor/chassis combination that I have. The game running is Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting (CPS-1). All pictures were taken at the same place at around the same time (at 10pm at night.) And all pictures were taken on my...
Hi all fellow Windy I &/or II owners!
Please share your stories here!
My hope is that this thread becomes a place for us all to help each-other out, & commiserate about our girls.
Exchange parts? Link to helpful websites & tech documents? Questions both asked and answered?
LET'S DO IT!
No love for Sega little tank? :D
Since I've been playing with my naomi rig on both my blast city cabs, I took these out and I thought I'd share my handy work.
one is used for my horizontal bc , so it has all the console emulators, arcade emulators with horizontal games, and win32 games ( SF4 AE, doujin shmups, etc )
So, Kotaku put up a trailer for 100 Yen: The Japanese Arcade Experience. A full length Documentary that goes over the Japanese Arcade phenomenon. Give it a watch!
:help: Help needed! Send CPS-2 scans!
Similar to what VT is doing, i'm trying to make a print friendly archive for all things Capcom (CPS1,2,&3). Basically any official kit art that's available.
To begin with i'm just thinking CPS-2 stuff.
Of course i've already contacted...
ok so this may belong in another section but....
here we go :tickled: no more having to pay airmail shipping rates. They even have the panel mount female ones in stock... best of all, they're 1/3 the price !
sharing is caring ;)

For those who love REAL speaker shrouds.

I'm starting this thread to hopefully become a place for resources for people restoring electrocoin cabinets. There is already some material dotted around, but I'm just trying to collect it together..

So I've wanted this cab for awhile, and I'm curious, does anyone here have a Taito Canary cab?
Let me know if you have played on one or have one that doesn't work.
Maybe make this the official "holy shit that is a hideous cab" thread? I dunno.
Here's one. Check out the button layout.
Had a good weekend! Marsteam and I headed on a drive to a small city in the area to pick up some cabs and games in a great and unexpected lot purchase.
These club threads have become a great place to consolidate cab info, so here we are, I figure Neo 25, Neo 29, Neo Candy 25, and Neo Candy 29...
thanks to beaglepuss & mark for this awesome cab!
still waiting to un-plastic wrap her..
So the black Gigawing board I got from Mak has some sort of programming error. The self check says everything is ok, game plays fine, but when I get to this stage:
At about 1:30, the two guns on the left and right don't follow my ship. The ship blazes past them and I get locked in a...
has anyone bought from them before?
I'm looking at their 60 in 1 board and I'd really like to buy one.
I have just scratch built a brand new MVS cabinet, Its all finished with fresh decals and looking beautiful but i have noticed that some units have what appears to be a design or licence plate or something on the front panel usually to the right side ( see attached pic mvs 4 +2 upright ) I would...
I didn't see a club page for this but I think I'd like to belong to some sort of candy cabinet club. I'll make up some signature artwork for the Naomi Universal/Net City club.
I grouped them together because they are 95% the same kind of cabinet. but I guess I could change it if you guys have...
thinking about going, it's a 5 hour drive though. Anyone ever been to that one ?
They've got quite a backlog of machines and they waited about 6 months.
Only auction game in town now.
Same place as usual. Anyone want to meet me there?
I'm going to get in touch with Lou or James this week to see what the outlook is.
I've been conducting some independent research on the System 246 since there is next to NOTHING available online in terms of technical help. I plan on documenting the majority of my research here. Everything from software revisions, hardware revisions, artwork/manuals and software images will be...
If he made some neo geo mini machines they would be pretty cool. Price doesn't seem too bad 850 for 2. I don't know this guy, but from his post it seems...
I got my amp connectors and my cps2 harness. What is the correct way to wire it for the astro city connector?
Placed an order on the 10th. Still says processing. Sent an email and no response.
There is an astro city club. There is a blast city club. Well shit. I'm an american I like my cabs unnecessarily large and inefficiently sized. No love for us big red owners? F-it. Big red owners- lets see what you got! I love these big goofy cabs!
Here is my 6 slot. It'll be back in my game...
The Big Reds have their own public club, so should the Goldie owners.

I figure with the turn over rate and cost of collecting arcade gear it'd be interesting to see what people have let go of to upgrade, got bored of etc.
As for myself (not including MVS):
Poodle and rvls did not start vote thread for May.
So, it looks like Buck 'll pick the game for May.
Anyone want to make any suggestions before he does?

Alright, so im planning to make my gameroom, a.k.a the garage a little prettier on the video game side. What are some things you guys do to make your room pleasant on the eyes.
I want a clean look, if that's even possible in a garage.
Post up your gameroom art, furniture, toys, plants,...
So I was fiddling around with a game that runs on Windows XP Embedded. It had resolutions up to 1080p and I decided to try one that was below that. The problem is the game didn't like it and it white screened + gave me a directX error. No problem, I can just change the resolution back...right?...
Hey chaps and chapettes,
I'm looking at creating my first Super Gun as a side project and I really want to do it the right way. I'm coming in this completely green, I'm completely clueless and would like to do this the right way.
