I believe it started elsewhere and then moved to Newgrounds to get more attention. But anyways, I hope this will turn out great. I have played the online game and the jumping/shooting seemed a bit off for the most part.
I watched a developer interview on Gamespot, and one of the dev guys said he hated playing the game on the keyboard. So I think they are really making a push to make a tighter controlled game. Also, I read the FAQ at
www.alienhominid.com and I really like that state that if the game went 3D it would take away from the spirit of the orginal design concept. THANK YOU! I'm gla d some developers and produces out there see that 2D gaming as an
art form and not some relic from the gaming days of past. 2D is great, focusing on fantastic hand drawn art and over the top animations. 3D is great too, going for a more simulation feel and more realistic looking visuals. I like both and I respect both as forms of art. My personal prefence though it 2D, maybe with a 3D splash in the backgrounds
Anyways,
Alien Hominid is a true inspiration for me, and I hope other upstarts and students, that dreams and visions can come true. Its a great story of a hard working duo, that got lucky because oppurtunity crossed with preparation. Oh and a nice break here and there I'm sure
