Of course assault weapons should be fucking banned, so should hand guns.
It depends where you are, guys in the UK will be shaking their heads, your talking about assault rifles when its impossible to get a license in the UK for a handgun
Farmer’s maybe, to control pests but otherwise, but no assault weapons, no firearms period for the general public.
BTW, here(PNG) its sometimes necessary for security, but that’s a different issue,
The right to bare arms is not a god given right, fuck the constitution. Its bullshit and costs lives. Rednecks dont know how to shoot anyway

galfordo said:A cursory glance at the numbers will reveal that almost all crimes are committed with handguns (at the very least, 80%). This is further evidence that the assault weapons ban is little more than a feel-good measure (no offense to our resident member and recent Evil Wasabi absorbee,).
XRS said:LOL, i love this discusion, Truth is , if you put a ban on all guns, it hurts law abiding citizens and not the criminals. Criminals will always find a way to get guns. The so called "assault weapons ban" works the same way, do you really think this will stop criminals from getting them?
FrostbayneAucti said:Ok I need some help from the people in the United Kingdom on this one, or any country where guns are illegal/SEVERLY restricted.
Does your country have a lot of criminals with guns?
I truthfully don't know, so this is an honest question.

FrostbayneAucti said:So our society consists of 80% handgun crime, and then the rest of it (shoplifting, breaking epa regulations, insider trading, prostitution, drunk driving, speeding, computer fraud, buying selling growing maijuana, tax evasion) is 20%
If 80% of crimes were commited with handguns, I would support a ban on all firearms, lol.
FrostbayneAucti said:Actually, violent crime is down (http://www.usdoj.gov/01whatsnew/safer_america/crime_rates_lower.html) based on the data provided by the administration you support! So it turns out that roomsweeper shotgun is unneccesary!!
galfordo said:~ 80% of crimes committed with firearms were committed with handguns.
Where does that article talk about fewer crimes being committed with assault rifles? Violent crime is down accross the board because the penal system is tougher on criminals, not because of this silly law.

kobylka68 said:Why even have guns at all. Here we don't have guns in the house and I sure I don't feel unprotected or defenseless. I mean, are assault weapons really necessary for civilians?
