Ok, so I opened my MVS, cleaned the 4 slots, and then checked the bottom pcb to see if everything was ok, so I put everything again like it was... and decided to turn it on.......... it was late, so I was distracted.... and I plugged the jamma harness, but I plugged it not in the right way, I mean Solder side was up and part side was down..... you know, so +5v were going to Select up & P1 button D and +12 v were going to P1 button C....... I turned it on and it didn´t turn on...... so I think What is going on? ...... Then I looked to the jamma harness and realized that I had put it in the wrong way......... damn!
I unplugged it, and plugged it in his "right and normal" way....... turned it on and then......... nothing... black screen........... damn I thought I have fried my Mvs......
I tried some test, without any cart, with dip switch 1 on....... nothing.....
I decided to open the MVS again, took the top pcb (were the slots are) and tried to turn it on....... so it did well, I saw the typical green screen with garbage.... and the lines test or whatever is called.... so I put the top pcb again, It didn´t work.... I pressed the top pcb, checked those big 3 connectors, turned it on again.... and It worked....... It just get kof 99 in any of the slots...... but it happend one more weird thing the first time kof 99 was running, in the middle of the intro the game reseted...... like 3 or 4 times....... I turned it off, on again and it only reseted when the intro ended and you only can see the kof 99 logo... it reset 1 time..... turned it off, on again and then I let it turned 10 minutes.... and It didn´t reset no more.... so anyone knows what happened? Magic? Voodoo? The Force?

Accidentaly pluging a jamma/mvs board the wrong way around should have no adverse effect. Unless certain inputs are switched, then you may see smoke. They are designed that way.

Clean the slots and your carts again.

"Why not put a key on your connector so this doesn't happen again?"

Bloody good advice RiotoftheBlood. :multi_co:

Make sure to buy a key and not just solder blob...

Many bootlegg games have a straight conecter and no keyhole....
