Wow.. I really love this band now. Ever since I heard the song " Dawn of Victory" and a few others I am hooked. I like the fact that they use different tunes with the guitar. It makes for a fresh sound.
Sorry if I am sorta late with this but a friend let me hear the music a few weeks ago. I figured id go try the rest of their stuff out. Now I am gonna go pick up a few albums. :buttrock:

I have their first 2 albums, Legendary Tales and Symphony of Enchanted Lands.

LT is a good debut album the production of the album is not so great but there are good songs there Flames of Revenge, Land of Immortals and Lord of the Thunder.

Now with SOEL their second has better production, its musically a much better album than LT but I didnt liked the direction that the band took. Too much symphonic elementes in this album, very few good guitar passages.

After SOEL I didnt bothered to check their new stuff, those who like the band say that SOEL is their best album, which for me is just another reason not to bother with their new stuff.

btw, you should check out Stratovarius if you dont know about them . Its infinitely better than Rhapsody.

Rhapsody kicks major ass. I have symphony of enchanted lands - how can you not like "the Last Winged Unicorn"? Huh? HUH?!?!

Rhapsody's like Manowar except set in a Tolkien universe.

maybe i'll check out the stratovarius thing...

I forgot to say that Rhapsody albums follow a history that starts in the first CD, all musics are actually developments of the history, there are narrative tracks on the CDs also, the first CD even has a map were the history took place.

I browsed thru the SOEL album this morning since has been a long time that I played it but I keep what I've said about it.

maybe i'll check out the stratovarius thing...

you definitely should.

if you like Tolkien related lyrics, I recommend you check Hammerfall too.
