Question For Long Hair People

Ok, long hair people I got a question for ya. It's been one year today since I last cut my hair. I have had a couple trims to the sides since then but the top and back of my hair hasn't been touched. 6 months ago was the last time I trimmed the sides. Right now my hair looks identical to Tom Cruises hair in the movie, The Last Samurai. I was thinking my hair should be a lot longer than this...

So my question is, how long have you been growing your hair and is the length of my hair normal for the time it's been growing?

Everybody is different man. My Hair grows like mad, and it took only a year to get past my shoulders after I shaved my head. I went from hair past my waist to nothing, then I decided to grow it back. Just make sure that you get the smallest trim possible. I've had my long hair back for a bout three years, and I have to trim it about twice a year to get rid of some signs of split ends, except this time I'm not growing it as long.

Just be patient man.

4-5 years now.

About time to get a trim for an inch or so.

It almost always grows faster if you get the ends trimmed off other than that it all depends on your hair, my hair grows pretty fast but yours might be slow.

I started growning my hair long when I was about 12 or 13 and by the time I cut it when I was 19 it was all the way down to my waist.

Mines to my ass and took about 4 years (last haircut was 8th grade, now a college freshmen, so maybe 5 or so at the most).

last time i had a hair cut was like oct of 99 and it half way down my back (i am about 5 10) and it has been this long for about 2 year

my hair is like Verbatum's wane it short it grows like mad but like every one is saying every body hair is diffrent

My hair is like friggin' wolfman jack-like active, I need a hair cut every couple months. If I were to let it go for a year I'd probably have it down past my shoulder blades, but hair-care sucks so I just keep it short'n'neat.

I got the Native American long hair look to my shoulders. It would have been longer but, I trim the sides every three months. When it starts looking crazy and uncontrolable, that's when I chop off the wig alittle.

Anyway, It really does depend on the individual like everyone said.

I didn't get a haircut, trim or anything for two years after shaving my head and it was almost chest-level - also pretty wild and unkempt. With the alternating beard/goatee, I looked like a hobo. It was kickass.

I know my hair grows pretty quick, and it sounds like yours grows slow. Everyone's different, though, but there's a win/lose situation.

If you like having long hair, it pays to have hair that grows quickly. Conversely, having hair growth speed similar to mine or a few others around here is detrimental if you like having short, styled hair.

Thanks for the responses. So it seems my hair grows really slow...that sucks. Man, the first year was a nightmare, i'm finally able to tuck the bangs behind my ears now. I'm pretty sure the 2nd year will go by quicker. The stage i'm at now really sucks because the hair is always falling in my eyes. I'll be happy when it finally grows past my face because it stills looks like a "bowl cut" at times :oh_no:

. I'm glad the summer is almost over and it won't bother me as much. I fealt like chopping it all off at times but decided not to and now i'm glad I didn't because it will keep me warm in the fall/winter

I'll be laughing at the guys with shaved heads, freezing thier asses off :lol:

went from really short like 2" long to shoulder length in 8 months. ive kept it shoulder length since then trim it 1" ever 2 month or so.

bullshit hair care i use a 3 in 1 shampoo 3 times a week even bar soap sometimes and i dont even have to comb it either. sometimes i do though.

the thing is my hair gets wavy so it can get pretty ratty after a few days of bed head without touching it. thats when it gets badass and cool and people get scared of me. :buttrock:
