Problem with a MVS cart...

Hi!
I decided to clean one of my carts (KOF 99) so I opened it, and started cleaning using a paper (with alcohol)... when I finished cleaning I saw something... the capacitor (that´s what I believe it is) on AC1 has gone... ok, I found it and I have put it in a safe place... so you know, if this capacitor something vital for this game?
I don´t want to put it in one of the slots of my mvs and then boom... game or mvs broken.... anyone knows if I can replace it with some other capacitor ... you know, bigger (in size) because this one is really small, and I don´t think I will be able to solder something so small.... Anyway, here are some photos, to clear this mess :

-Cart when I opened it for the first time (AC1, where the capacitor is located, marked in red)-

-When I finished cleaning.... AC1 without nothing.... (red marked)-

I hope anyone can help me!

Its a surface mount electolytic capacitor, I would say to smooth out any ripple or noise on the 5 volt vcc supply to the carts ICs, I see a transistor in the vacinity , maybe the cap is involved in a time constant of a reset circuit .

The cart may well work without the cap, booting up with that cart inserted would not damage the mobbo.

You should be able to see the capacitance value on the can of the capacitor.
Something like 4.7 uF or 10 uF. If your unable to ID the value I would fit say a 4.7uF 16 volt (voltage is not important but smaller the better for this) electro in there. Be sure to get the polarity right.

Thanks ttooddddyy!!
Here is what is written on the can of the capacitor :

f4
10
16v

So it its a 4 f or 4uf? And 16 v must be the voltage it uses..

The value is not critical, maybe 10 uF 16 volt, do you have a close up pic of the cap.

Hi!
I have tried to take a photo of the capacitor but I wasn´t succesful when doing it (I have tried to a close up photo with the "macro" function of the camera, but it looks like I don´t know how to use it.... ) I have made a drawing of what is written on the capacitor :

K99capacitor.JPG

I will ask my sister to make a photo of it, she knows how to use the camera...

I almost forgot!! I tried the cart, and it went fine, anyway, I will try to buy a capacitor and solder it...

I would try a 10 uf 16 volt (dont know what the f4 is ?)
