Well didn't think I'd make it but parents got held up in FL for the hurricane so here's some stuff.

Lots of Neo's

4 slot ver. 3 had a 2 slot board in it with kof00 and aero fighters 2 sold for 275
4 slot ver. 1 was a 4 slot had aof2 and magician lord deal #2 of the day sold for 150 not sure why so cheap monitor was a bit dim but seemed fixable. I would pushed the guy to 175 had I had another 50 bucks on me
2 slot with slug 3 and neo geo cup 98 sold for 300
2 slot street hoops and top hunter for 275
conversion 1 slot with ss2 for 225
shitty 1 slot conversion with BAM boot for 250
nice 1 slot conversion with I think a boot Strikers for 300

That's all for the Neo's no CPS2 cabs

2 Naomi cabs both had virtua tennis sold for 600 and 650

Only Atomiswave at the show was a Sport Shooting USA that went for 800.

Deal of the show in my opinion a Mocap Golf for 275 granted this thing is huge but if you have the space that's bang for your buck

I'll post some pics soon if anyone cares.

Next one is on Oct. 2nd

Also talked to some guy there that said he built neo cabs back in 92 unfortunately I didn't think of anything useful to ask him info wise, and the only thing he brought to the show were 2 dedicated neos converted to police trainer

thnx for the report, lithy - much appreciated.

I plan on going to the auction in Winston-Salem in November - hopefully I'll be able to snag a decent 4-slotter. Do these auctions generally have the same number of MVS cabs, or are some areas better than others about them, or is it pretty much just the luck of the draw?

Also, if you win a machine - do you have to leave with it the same day, or can you come back the next day and pick it up?

It definately depends on the area I think, every auction I've been to here has had about the same amount of neos and I tend to notice the same cabs showing up, probably has to do with what's in circulation in the area. But that said, the Orlando shows I've been to are about 1/4 the size and have maybe 1 dedicated Neo and a couple conversions.

So I guess for the first one you go to it'll be luck of the draw.

If you win a machine first off as a personal buyer you'll have to pay your state sales tax (TN is 9.25% ugh) and a buyer's fee which I can't remember if its a flat fee or a percentage of your buy. But I bought my cab for a bid of 240 and after tax and fees it was 289 and change.

Cool. thnx for the info. I'll be sure to give a report of the Winston-Salem scene when I get back - and hopefully pics of my new cab! :D

I'm guessing they take cash only at these auctions?

thats a nice four slot a bit old but still nice

With the right overlay it would look 200% better and for 150 bucks had I had the money on hand I would've pushed that guy higher :(

Not too bad looking for a kit. A little love and attention and it'll look like a million bucks :)

Damn I wish one of these auctions would come to somewhere in Colorado... :( For whatever reason they avoid this state like the plague it seems.
