Okay. Here's my story. Back in February this year, I have put down $57.46 on Star Ocean 3. I also put down $20.89 on Midway Arcade Treasures 2. But what happens when one of the greatest games from a complication gets removed all of a sudden? Easy. You get pissed off. That's right, I'm talking about Midway that removed the original MK from MAT2 and that it got put into Mortal Kombat: Deception-Limited Edition. Of course, I also want deception, but I don't have any more money right now to buy it yet, so I removed my store credit from SO3 and put it into MK: D so that I can get two great games(I even put down $6.?? to pay it all off), but I'm torn apart between 2 great games which I want to have. I'm afraid that midway is not going to put MK1 back on MAT2, even when the petition for it starts going greater. Should I wait until October for Midway to bring back MK1 to MAT2, and then get Star Ocean 3 if they do, or should I get SO3 instead, and wait for MK: D-LE to be a used game if midway doesn't change their minds to bring MK1 back to MAT2? I would appreciate your help on this.

Ugh, I'd skip both games and get something a little better. Just my $.02

MK1 blows donkey. MKII destroys that game, no questions asked.
Would I bother playing either with SFAC around? No.

The same gore-hounds that lusted after the MK series back in the day are the ones frothing at the mouth for RE and GTA clones.

Can I get a damn witness!

Midway Collection 2 will also be great anyway, though.

Get the Midway collection 2. Seems like the cheapest, option plus you get all those games on one disc. So it's missing MK1, doesn't matter it's a novelty game. At least it's got MKII on it wich i think is way better.

Honestly, I wouldn't get my feathers ruffled over the loss of MK from the Arcade Treasures Collection - it's significance is really little more than historical at this point. The likely scenario is that Deception will be decent, but I don't see it being on the same level as the Arcade Treasures 2 collection.

Just take a wait-and-see approach on Deception, and make sure ya pick up MAT 2 - it's still a terrific bargain.

They took out MK1 b/c every other MK blows the shit out of it.

Heh... MK2 still stands as my fav in the series I think.... but then again I really don't like MK as much as uh... well NEO shit.

Get Star Ocean and SF Collection... the first Midways arcade thingie I played like twice. =P Even multiplayer it's just boring. I'll probably play MK II for like a week and then forget about it. MK3 is ok but I already have that one game on the N64 and that's better then 3.

So true, you'll see how old and slow they are and try to forget you ever had this headache in the first place. SFAC is great as to bring back memories and SF3 is like a little bonus but the package is nothing in comparison to how well fighters have advanced since. Even SF3 has nothing on SNK and simply reminds me of an SNK clone in so many ways.
