I am sooooo sick of the bullshit that goes here.

You steal someones money, you need to get your ass kicked out the door.

I mean ,you got people like average joe getting kicked, and dickhead scammers playing games here? This gives this site a bad name and makes it a scammers paradise.
I really like ng.com, but watching these threads appear over and over is disgusting.

Maybe setup standards before a person is allowed to post something for sale?

Like if the item will cost more then $100 then it must be aproved by a group of users set to moderate over the request?

I really think what is more needed is some form of standards posted so the scammer can't sell his stuff in the first place.

There should be a Shit List. It's somewhere in between a buddy list and an ignore list.

Any member proven to have scammed another member (using this forum) at least once should be added to the Shit List. Being added to the Shit List should cause a member's user name to appear in red (or some color easily distinguishable from everyone else's name), and above the person's location it should say "Member of the Shit List." That way everyone knows who the Shit Listers are.

Shit Listers should automatically be prohibited from entering the Market Forums.

I believe shawn or someone else had something very similar to a "shit list" linked on their page before, complete with accounts of the scamming, money owed etc...

Yeah that's what it was called...

I saw it a while back, but even then it was grossly out of date... I think it's a excellent Ideal though...

Perhaps someone could work on the "Black List" section (ala Joe McCabe and the Member Collections), and make mention of Japhei, Carolescollectibles, kulanart etc...

It's still a good idea.

I do like the "shit list" concept. Perhaps start a Sticky in the Market forums listing all bad members. Problem is it has to be universal that the member is a problem, really.

Undeniable proof of a single scam should be enough to merit inclusion into the shit list.

For example, Kim Kaphwan isn't necessarily a bad member yet his infamous transaction with Kenny should earn him entrance into the Shit List, as it evidences a tendency to scam.

Extreme Shit Listers should appear in a different color so the Shit List doesn't need to be endlessly reviewed to remind oneself of its members. The most heinous Shit Listers (e.g., Kula) should be blocked from the Market Forums entirely. Being banned from the Market Forums should be left to the discretion of the moderators.

That's why it shouldn't be just nicknames on the blacklist, it should be the scammer's full contact info ( ex. reall name, full or partial address and all known contact info including aim, yim, icq and email accts).

Hey !

We're getting a point.

That shitlist idea is possibly the coolest thing to come up to try to keep this forums clean from scammers or non-payers ( less important though ) .

Usually scammers do not come to the boards to annoy us. They seek a weak prey so they can attack with their scams. They know they are not welcome anymore when they're busted.

Take the example of Japhei... the more you ban him, the mre he comes back with a diferent user name. Pointing the finger seems to be the best solution afterall.

The shitlist idea is indeed awesome, if not necessary at this point.

I have somewhere Casey's complete info, even his home phone #. I want people to start sending him dead animals in the mail, so I'll start looking.

Ban Nesagwa too. He's not a scammer and he really hasn't done anything wrong it'd just be entertaining because this forum is all he's got going on in his life.
