I dunno whether anyone has noticed or even cares but this think looks like an 80's Toyota or some old school 80's personal organiser. What is nintendo thinking? i mean are they 'trying' to be retro or are they employing blind desiners. The PSP was always gonna be better looking but damn, the PSP makes this thing look 20 years old.

*yawn* ...

DS = preorder

PSP = meh/who da f**k cares/teh suck/fragile/rich-kid showpiece/etc

Nintendo will still be the king of handheld gaming, but I wouldn't be shocked if PSP gains Sony fifteen...maybe even twenty percent of Nintendo's handheld domain.

Oh well, at least the latest design looks leagues better than before.

Have you priced cell phones these days ? Its on the cheaper side as far as phones go. Back on topic I'll reserve criticism of the DS until after I play it . I mean who cares how it looks if the games are good .

i think once the PSP + NDS are released i'm gonna get a backlit GP32, they can emulate almost any old console (dunno whether they can used Neo Geo emulators) and are dropping in price all the time on ebay.

A cell phone can be had cheap, if you arent a fag and go for the games and extra shit that you dont really need since you are just going to talk to people on the thing.

The old n gage can be had for less than $100.00 can't get much cheaper than that unless you want to talk with two soup cans and a string you fucking dolt .

Hahahahaha.

Insulting FatGuy's beloved N-Gage is like insulting his mother.

How much the DS supposed to cost on release? Probly too much...

Same with PSP

But I'm now kinda interested in the PSP, since I found out they are making Twisted Metal 2 for it. Now if it's a straight port, then fuck it, but if it got new shizzle, I may have to spend some of my crack money on a PSP.

The classic GBA is made to resemble an old NES pad, and that's why it sells, I think.

Very true. Manufacturers have struck gold with the whole nostalgia/retro appeal. Gamers that grew up with the NES are coming of age, and a lot of them have cash to burn (well, compared to kids, anyway). I never thought that the retro market would've grabbed hold like it did, but it appears to be here to stay. From 3D remakes of classic titles to compilations to flat out just re-releasing old games for modern systems (GBA), there's some serious CASH to be had in the retro market.

The only problem with this is that the 1980's PWN 2004 for free: style, music, and games.

As a big fan of the Game & Watch era, the DS does appeal to me.

Although I go for the retro style of the DS, the PSP looks pretty hot also, but the battery life is a big concern for me. That said, I will probably get both a DS and a PSP when they finally come out over here in europe.
