This system kicks ass, been playing Dracula X, and Bonks Revenge, and Lords of Thunder all day....brings a tear to one's eye. I pre-ordered Lords of Thunder [one of the first games i ever pre-prdered. Remember getting it as though it were yesterday.] Also got the promo video they made you could send off for that had the shitty "street team" talking to people in game stores and stuff. Good times, good times... :crying:

I love my Duo as well. I will never sell that bad boy. Bomberman '93 is the best party game ever on that system.

in high school, would listen to that game in the car. I can still dig on the soundtrack for that game. Cheesy? yeah, i dig the tune for the final boss battle though. Only track i hate is the ballad one for the end credits. Still, not as bad as the Riot Zone soundtrack.

Indeed. The duo is a wonderful machine. So many great games, its a shame it didnt do better in the US. I usually rank it in my top 3, along with Genesis and neo-geo.
Too many great games. Military madness, silent debuggers, tons of RPGs and shooters.

Its often hard to avoid the temptation to get another one here, as mine is in storage in the US.

yeah, i picked up a copy a couple of months ago from Neo Bomberman.

It's a really fun game, especially if you like Shinobi or ninja games in general. Kaze is one of the best animated sprites in a non-fighter, the BGs and music are beautiful, the AI is pretty good in that enemies actually block attacks which can make fighting pretty intense, and the bosses and some enemies (kite ninjas rule) are really cool. The only negative i can think of is that the game can be sorta repetitive, with every level being basically the same thing: move back and forth on one plane, killing enough enemies to trigger the boss battle. Still though, the amount of moves you have at your disposal, the fluid control, and the overall high production value overshadow any slight problems the game has.

I've just recently gotten into the whole NEC gaming scene with my Core & SCD2.

I've been playing lots of, Gates of Thunder, and absolutely LOVE it! I'm a BIG ThunderForce guy too. Gates of Thunder, has definitely turned my head away from the TF series as of late. I like jamming to the first stage music in the game.

I LOVE the tracks on Gate and hearing that Lords has an even better soundtrack, really wants me to get the game.

I still have yet to play Lords of Thunder. Guess that will be in my pick-up list soon.

LOT has a more metal soundtrack to it. I like the track for the fire stage.

One thing strange about LOT is that the character's vulnerable area includes the sword, but the back half doesn't take damage.

For me, I would have to pick GOT over LOT. The music seems more fitting and space ship themed shooters seem more proper than character shooters (LOT, Cotton, Sylphia...) Both are GREAT games though.

I've heard of the Duo, but I don't really know anything about it.

Anyone care to educate me?
