Especially Ryo's I'm yet to actually pull it off. Maybe I'm getting my timing wrong but I just keep throwing fireballs instead. Also Andy's doesn't seem any different to the DM version, only when you bolt the HDSM onto the end of it.
Help appreciated.
Thanx.

Ryo's HSDM is very easy IMO.

qcf x2+AC when in MAX mode and your life bar is flashing red... had no prob with that so far. The qcf's have to be pulled off quite fast, try increasing your input speed.

Anyway, it's one of the better HSDMs, it also dizzies your opp. no matter what. Combo into it from a f+A (difficult), sD or sC, then hit the dizzied opp. with another normal combo = lotsa damage.

I thought Ryo's was qcf+C-A? I'm fine with the qcfx2+AC one.

That's his SDM, "HDM" or "HSDM" means Hidden (Super) Desperation Move and can only be done when you're in MAX mode and your life bar is flashing.

His SDM is another beast... it's not really hard to pull off, provided you keep in mind that you can only use it after recovering from another move, i.e. during a combo or after a jumping attack, jump, after a knock-down, etc.

For example, you could activate MAX mode, roll towards your opp. and pull off the SDM shortly before your character goes back to his idle stance again. Using it after a standing C, jumping D or even after a normal jump works as well.

Timing for the C~A is a bit tricky, you have to hit C then A -VERY- fast, almost at the same time. For a start, try hitting both C+A and then lower your finger over the C button a little bit to hit C slightly earlier... the C~A is more like a sloppily done C+A than C, followed by A, 'know what I mean.

Thanks. I'd been trying to do it from standstill. I'll bolt it onto the end of another move then.

It was easy to do from an idle stance in KOF2000. The timing for the move sucks in KOF2001 and KOF2002.

Well I managed it twice after jumping attacks. Its definitely the button timing that gets me. I found it worked when I entered qcf+C then A straight afterwards.
I'm sure it was easier than this is AOF. I don't see why they never just left it at qcf, hcfb+A+C.
