the reason i'm asking is this,

i've been working out for the past couple of months, and i'm starting to notice a big difference in my body as far as definition is concerned.

i went to the mall the other day, and was looking for some nice clothes to wear that would show people that i'm no longer a 'kid' per say, but an adult who has better taste, and wouldn't just settle for a t-shirt and jeans all the time.

i ended up at the banana republic. i got two new shirts, a pair of shorts, and a pair of pants. they are all really nice, and fit well.

i guess i'm just wondering what everyone else wears when they want to dress to impress the ladies?

thanks in advance for your input and support.

I used to be this way. Back in the day, when I was a player.

Anyway, I dress more neutral these days. Typical 20 year old stuff.

I really have to go clothes shopping instead of buying all these DAMN video games.

Fags shop at banana republic. Sorry. :tickled:

i knew someone was going to say this, and yes it is very true. there are a lot of gay guys who do shop there, but could you just hold up for a second with your stereotyping, and look past the stupidity that you bring to the table when you make jabs like that? i meen, come on! gay people are everywhere, and you know what? they know how to dress. so, you can go on ahead and wear your baggy pants, and your t-shirts, and see how many girls flirt with you.

i swear, people need to grow up and realize that not EVERYONE who shops at the BR is gay.

Ive been wearing the same clothes for FOUR years.
I have holes in all of my shirts, and they are all faded and shit.

I need new clothes more than you guys.

I don't wear baggy clothes and look like a bum or something, but I don't think you have to buy overpriced clothes just to impress girls. If a girl only likes you for how nice you look in your faggoty clothes, maybe she's shallow. Of course she might be a real sex freak. You gotta figure out your priorities, I know what mine are and I'm just speaking how I feel about this sort of topic. Like I said I don't dress like a frat boy or something, but I try to be comfortable and I'm not exactly out to impress anyone. Not sure where I'm going with this, but all ya gotta do is buy some nice button down shirts at like JCpenny or some other department store, but you don't have to be all fancy shmancy by shopping at banana "up the ass" republic.

Before I knew what I liked I use to shop at Old Navy.. Before I found those awesome surfer shorts from Pac Sun and the wonders of interpunk.com.. Almost everything I wear now is either a band shirt or a hoodie with a band on it.

let me start from the from the start,

what makes clothes faggoty? since when are stripped shirts faggoty?

she could very well be a sex freak, and hell, i'm all for that! :drool_2:

i know it's expensive to shop at nice clothing stores, but you have to realize that you only live once, and its not like i'm going to buy out the whole entire store...

not everyone who wears nice clothes are 'frat boys.' when i think of the term 'frat boy,' it usually carries a negative conotation as someone who is snobby.
what you wear doesn't make you who you are. you do.

nice clothes are comfy man.

i'm not trying to start a flame or anything, i'm just bored, and tired of stereotyping.

more bored...but you get the idea.

Now are we talking vertical stripes here or are we talking horizontal stripes, and on what kind of shirts? Polos? T's? What!?!

(and stores like Banana Republic, Aberwhatever and F, American Outfitters, etc etc etc, all cater to the well off twenty somethings and teens that pay 50 dollars for a shirt, that isnt any different than a shirt that cost 10 at sears other than the logo. Its bullshit and everyone knows it)

I think this feeling of wanting to dress to impress will fade. Loose women are harbors for disease, just letting you know so you don't learn the hard way (STD's). Always use protection, that will help anyhow. If you want to dress like a homosexual, go for it, chics tend to dig gay guys. I don't know where you're at in your life right now, but I'm not loaded (college student) and I try to save my money for more important things than clothes (alcohol).

couldn't have said it better myself. I realized now these days people judge you by the way you dress. Knowing how to dress proper can be very helpful and says a lot about you as a person

I don't like these styles either... But let's not stereotype women. Womens' tastes vary a lot...

well ... you could do sports ... or ... wear a poncho ... :D
sorry. haven't been 'chubby' since '93. ;)

nah ... i'm sure that there are nice clothes for bigger guys, but they might be more expensive and hard to get ahold of. it's just that skinny guys look fuckin stupid in oversized shirts. imo.

For general Everyday Stuff, I usually shop at Surf/Skate Type Places, usually a nice T, and some Volcom or Hurley Jeans...Volcom makes very good jeans.

For nicer, evening wear, and if i'm going out.

I'm a Fan of Armani Exchange, Saks 5th Avenue, and Emporio Armani.

I'm Generally a Dark Blue, Grey, or Black Clothing Person... I wear very little bright colors... I'm fairly boring that way...sometimes I shock my girlfriend by wearing a White Shirt.

When I'm dressed particularly, well, or atleast I think so, I enjoy wearing SunGlasses, I often watch as girls check me out, and love it when i'm out, and a complete stranger, will Smile, and Say Sexily to me: "Hi."

What gives you the inclination that I sweat a lot? Which I don't.
