I've heard JPN version (Famicom Mini) has all 4 levels but US only has three?

It isn't a factor. Like others have said, this is port of the already imperfect NES port of Donkey Kong. If they added that 4th level, then it wouldn't be a true port of the nes version. I know it was, Nintendo idea since they wanted it. To be like the, NES version in the frist place. It just seems like a waste to me. Times like these it makes me mad when compenys cut corners on, ports or emulation of old games. Then agian i guess that's what Mame is for.
