Ehhh...I think Q2 is the best of the 3 quakes....and the novelty of Doom 3 has't worn off yet.....but Q2 is already giving it a run for its money....

ut was lame. sniper rifle was too uber and the weapons were too lame for my taste.
i dont think enough people put enough time into quake 3. at first glance it seemed shallow just join a game and kill eachother but after a few months when the elite rooms started popping up you could just spectate for hours watching skilled players duke it out. i played that game for like 2 years straight and some games it was like u were in a trance and nobobdy could kill you. its the only fps i ever played where u put a noob and skilled person in same game and the skilled will win every match.
the hardest part was calibratring your system. camera angle, hotkeys, mouse sense, etc. getting it perfect was tough but once u did fragging the shit out of people was the most natural thing ever.
what sucked is when people stopped playing it and there was only like 1 rocket arena game with like 30+ people in it and that made up the entire quake3 community. too bad.

I love the box room stage where the lights flash on and off. That level has the best music. I dont remember the name of the stage though.

HL1 > Quake 1 > BF1942 > Medal of Honor > Heretic 1 Serpent Riders> Halo 1

BTW Although Quake 2 was fun, I really got bored near the end. Quake 3? I really prefer the story/SP experience.
To me Halflife had the finest sound effects, scare factor, and gripped me in front of the monitor longer than any other FPS.
Quake 1 put me in a mood. As usual id is the masters of environment and mood, and Quake 1 really helped me immerse my depressive life into this bloddy 256 brown/green morbid Trent Resnor world I loved to bathe in.
