Hurricane Charley

I just got home this morning after being evacuated from Key West due to Hurricane Charley. All non residents had to leave the Keys. I was able to move my flight up to leave this morning instead of Friday, otherwise I would probably be stuck in Ft Lauderdale for awhile. I come back to Chicago and its 50 degrees, a 40 degree difference!!! Anybody in Florida worried about the Bonnie and Charley?

People are going pretty crazy here in Tampa. I'm not worried so much as I only work in tampa. I live closer to orlando. According to most weather reports I'll probably just get some wind/rain but that'll be it. At least i'll get a day off out of it.... unfortunately I won't be able to get my check...
So much for going to the computer show in orlando this weekend... :crying:

We'll only get a shitload of rain from them here in Jacksonville, I'm only hoping that I can leave to move back to school early enough friday that none of it is here yet.

I'm happy that we're getting some REAL rain here in NC (we usually get that drizzle bullshit that lasts like 10 minutes). Also, the cool weather is nice as butta said.

I mean goddamn, 2 storms at once?! Well, I hope my folks back home will be alright, but in the meantime, we're getting ready for TS/Hurricane Bonnie set to hit the Panhandle sometime today. Flooding's no problem since Tallahassee's based on 7 hills, but it will make for some extremely interesting car crashes going downhill. Well, here's to some excitement in an otherwise dead area this Summer.

Its almost here.

Tampa is my hometown, but right now im up at school (UNC).

It must be awesome to surf the gulf side, id love to be standing on pier 60 at clearwater right now.

You guys shouldnt get hit so hard, Charley's a puss. Just throw your patio chairs in your pool, and get extra batteries for the neo pocket in case of lights-out.

I checked on my mom, and the Palm Beach area is surprisingly quiet. I freaked out when I found out Charley was a Category 4.

Hope you guys on Florida's west coast are okay.
