I'd be more than happy to be wrong about this, but the lack of reviews regarding AvP is a bit alarming just one day before it opens.

Usually, when a movie studio goes this far out of its way to avout "buzz" for a movie, its really, really bad.

I mean, even Catwoman had more advanced screenings than this, and that scares the living hell out of me :)

Reviews won't crop-up until tomorrow. And everyone already knows it's gonna suck, the fact that it's PG-13 says it all. But none the less, I like the whole predator motif so I'm going regardless of what the reviews will be.

from all that I have seen it looks like it should be pretty good.
People just love to bitch and moan.
Resuraction was ass, but it could have been alot worse and it was till pretty good to watch (albeit, only once).
Predator 2 fell short of the original, but it was still a great watch.
This doesn't need to be perfect to be enjoyable, its aliens and predators for christs sake.

Who cares about marines?! The title says it all, AvP, not AvPvM.

Seeing aliens and predators rumble is more enjoyable than watching marines trying to survive when you know they're gonna die, yo.

Trailer looks horrible. I bet the almost 10 year old AvP game on the Jaguar is better than this crapfest. But I could be wrong, I doubt it though.

It's going to be terrible but I'll probably go see it tonight anyway. I get free advance showings of movies because I work at the theater. Even an awful movie is fine if it's free. Well, in most cases anyway (Day After Tomorrow... *shudder*).

The woman and I are going to see this. Me, because I'm a HUGE freakin' Alien fan. Her? She just likes shitty horror movies.

I can't help but think this is really going to suck no matter what happens. Oh well, I'll be there to watch it all. Sigh.

I just read some reviews from theatre employees @ aicn.com; they were rather positive, expect for "If Fox has no more respect for it’s properties than to put them in the hands of this seemingly unstoppable shithead, then they’re better off dead" and "Why does the movie suck? Where do I begin?!?!" and "AvP is, simply, hands-down terrible" and "The movie is completely rushed, and it just plain sucks" and, my favorite "Fuck you, Paul Anderson. I hope you rot in Hell"

Phew, atleast there won't be a lot a computer animation, thats a plus. I was scared about this. Better keep it like old times with real actors.
Aliens and Predator are my two favorite movies, they better not screw this up :oh_no:

Just read the director did Event Horizon, I thought that movie was great. Maybe I won't be let down afterall.

It’s been rumored that this death match has been in the works ever since a scene from Predator 2 showed the skulls of both characters inside a trophy case.

I'm going to go see it. It's not like I haven't wasted money on other crappy movies anyway. Maybe despite the PG-13 rating, it won't be too bad. I can hope anyway. :oh_no:

Tomorrow is my B-day and i'm already planning to see it with friends and family, so consider the money already wasted.

It does suck that it's PG-13 :( Come on the people who grew up with these movies are adults now. Only kids know Aliens and Predator from the pc game. It should be R. Maybe it's only PG-13 because there arn't space marines to get ripped in half and get the heads chewed off. I'll miss the space marines, they were fun to watch :(

There is a behind the scenes special on fox as I type this. I will check it out and post how things look. Most of you people should just stop watching movies alltogether as you seem to reap nothing good from it at all.
