Worked there for seven years. Fun job! Not the best paying, but very fun. My Ex still works there... problem is you can reach a level of pay that will almost never really go up, and you can get there fast.
And NOBODY knows what the hell a Neo Geo is there.
Hope you like it, lord knows it was some of the best years of my life growing up.

GregN. said:Good. Thanks for the heads up. I'm just applying anywhere I can right now until the economy gets better and I can find something else. And I can totally see the corporate bitch factor. We have ultimate electronics out here, but it's too far of a drive to make it worth it for me. I've put in applications in like 6 temp places and tons of other places - nothing yet.

GTW. try out applying at Home depot. if you have any prior retail experience or experience with products that they carry than you will probably make more off the bat. Try applying in appliances. That is where I work now and I get a solid hourly wage and the work in that department is so easy it's not funny.

P.C. serves the tri-state area (NY, NJ & conneticut) and is old school sales through and through. most stores only hire full time and the hours are a bitch. It is commission based and very cutthroat (basically a snake pit). If you know how to sell and you watch your ass you can make some great money there.
Hope that helps.
Tell me about it . When I got hired about 5 years ago (warranty company) we got paid weekly, then it went to biweekly. This month they changed to the 15th and the last day of the month . This is more of a pain in the ass because bi-weekly was every other friday now it could be on a thursday or tuesday , very fucking inconvienent .ORPHEUS said:No, applying in person is becoming a thing of the past. That and the move to bi weekly pay checks have been the two biggest moves by corporate companies with this type of business model.

ORPHEUS said:It's a paltry, sub par job.
You really gotta enjoy being a corporate bitch.
It's the gods honest truth.
I'm telling you right now: if you have a specialty A/V chain such as ultimate electronics or tweeter (or any of thier subsidaries such as hi fi buys, sound advice, hillcrest audio, etc) you would be a FOOL not to apply thier if you don't mind working on commission. Tweeter home entretainment group was probably the best/most inpressive company that I have worked for. Check it out.
