why are gamecube imports like this one so expensive?

Having been the owner of that very game, I can tell you that it's worth it. I HATED the US version on the PS2. It's almost a different game. Great intro was messed up, the music was messed up, and JESUS is the commentary poor.

Great game, my friend. They crank out WE faster than Madden, however. Sad. Make one and stick with it for a bit...

It almost is a different game, GC WE 6 FE, is an advancement of WE 6 FE PS2, which is a half sequel to WE 6 PS2.

I'm assuming WE is WE in the USA? Here it is Pro Evolution, which is WE : International.

Did you pick up WE 8 yet, or anyone here. Is out here (Pro Evolution 4) in October, long wait:o

Winning Eleven is called so in the U.S.

Beyond that I'm, clueless, but I need a good GC import to test my freeloader with, so maybe I should try it?

I know ISS PRO 3 came out in the UK - but is is really the same as WE? is it just as good and if so is PRO 3 better than WE 6FE on gamecube? coz I could just get that (my machine is modded but I don't know about it playing pal games - can it? and if not, would the free loader work on it?)

Pro Evolution 3 on PS2 is WE 7 International. ISS 3 is a different series, very great, but not WE great. WE 6 FE is the only GC WE game anywhere, however all 3 next gen ISS games are on GC. The jap version series of ISS is Jikkyo World Soccer.

how do you know if your cube is import compatible? As far as i know they cant be modded...

do i need to check when it was made?

Winning Eleven on the GC is very sought after and quite rare (well, Radiant Silvergun rare), that is why it commands the prices it does. Its the same with the PAL version of PSO. That always seems to go for about £50.

It's import compatible only if it's an import system or has been modified. All GC to the best of my knowledge are easily modded. You could also get a Free Loader.

Hmm, i'm sure you meant how is the WE (Pro Evolution) series better than the Jikkyo World Soccer (ISS) series?

Ok.........

During the times of the Super Famicom / Nintendo there was ISS/Jikkyo World Soccer. Konami's ONE soccer game.

Then came PSOne. If you ever see the name GOAL STORM, forget it, its too compliacted to explain, however........

PSOne had Winning Eleven. A rival team in KONAMI decided they could make a better game, this was PERFECT STRIKER on N64, ISS in Europe. This is the Jikkyo World Soccer series.

So on PSOne there was WE , on N64 there was Perfect Striker. There's a lot more to it, im quite cider drunk to explain, but basically its down to personal preference, ISS games are on all platforms, WE/Pro Evo is almost PS2 exclusive, however there is WE6FE on GC, and a coming XBOX version.

Both are as good as each other, but WE/Pro Evo is better.

Only N64 owners would tell you different back in the day , however they play WE on PS2 these days

All of them can. I'd suggest mod'ing over the FreeLoader. FL tends to only work with games that were released around the time as the newest version of FL. I had the first version, then a newer game I got wouldn't work with it, so I had to buy the newer version (1.06). I assumed this could be a trend, so I sold my GC and picked up a pre-moded model. $150 for one pre-moded at http://www.lik-sang.com

Winning Eleven 8 is great.

Graphically amazing, 138 teams, new WE Shop items, new moves and 2 player free kicks... I really recommend it.

What leagues are on WE8?

And thanx for the explanation, i always thought ISS and WE were the same game. It's good that you cleared that up....

Is there a GCN version of ISS? And between ISS and WE, I think there is no comparison to these series regarding to soccer, I mean if they have one competition is one another, right?

@Jeff Bogard, yeah all 3 this gen ISS games are on GC, your right too, WE & ISS are the greatest soccer games anyway, either is the best.
