Greetings everyone,
I was in Akihabra today and happened across an awesome Arcade pcb shop called G-Front. Needless to say, there was an insanely large selection of MVS carts. There was also a huge selection of CPS2 boards for decent prices that cought my eye. I picked up a mint A-board for $18US and a Vampire Savior 2 B-board with original instruction manual, move stickers and Intruction-marquee for $45US.
Now to get to my questions. I'm curious if there are dipswitches on the board, or is there a built in softdip? Also, should there be any clips/latches to secure the A+B boards together? I have the boards firmly placed together, but I'd gladly buy the extra parts just to have things set up "proper". Any info is as always, greatly appreciated. Thanks ;)

Options are accessed thru the test switch on the MB.
There are metal clips that attatch to the sides of the set up that hold the two boards together.

Congrats on your CPSII purchase.....

I've actually decided to get rid of all my CPSII stuff..(I don't have the time to play it)

But,..What did they have in MVS..?

If you'll note the three buttons on the side of the A board, one of them is the TEST button where you can access all the games options like freeplay, difficulty, etc. Theres also some neat stuff like a sound test - nothing better then rocking out to CPS2 tunes.

Anyway check the CPS2 Shock link in my signature for some good info on the system.

Wow, congrats, that sounds like a great deal! For those kind of prices, I probably would have started a thread, "Bought my first 5 CPS2 boards today..." I don't know the answers to any questions, but I'll be reading to find out, because Vampire Hunter is a constant temptation to me. I just need another cab or supergun...

That's a good deal,congrats on the buy.

As someone might've already said, there seems to be dip settings on the A-board,itself. If I remember correctly, there are menu/soft dip built-in,also.

Yes,there are clips available for the A+B board. Also, there are PCB "legs" for the A-board,which will allow you to easily install the unit (A+B boards) safely in the smaller Capcom Mini-Cute cabs.

$18 for a CPS2 A Board...WOW! And a Vampire Savior 2 board for $45...not bad at all considering I paid $80 for the kit (of course it had the header and kick harness)

An excellent find :buttrock:

Nope. In fact that's actually about common for a green A-board.

I'd love to be able to just walk in a shop and be able to buy arcade boards at fair prices... :envy:
