And this time for free; I got it from a garage sale at the end of the day. Came with a monitor (non-working) and keyboard, and it has an Ethernet card in it (with a BNC connector (wifi?) as well as a RJ45). The monitor it came with doesn't work, and I went to plug in one of the other monitors into it (we have two Dell monitors that are 21" (19.5" viewable)... and the stupid VGA plug is the kind with one of the pins stopped up (aaugh). Is there an adaptor I can get so it can work with my monitors? It definately boots though so I'm sure it works to some extent.

BTW I looked around on the Net and I it's a 100 mhz processor, woohoo.

I'm gonna end up gutting the old Compaq (the 75mhz) and keeping the processor as a souvineir (sp), and curbing it.

There are places ALL over the internet selling shit ass video cards for dirt ass cheap. Since you aren't gaming on it, a $20 card would be fine.

Do people collect old computers in USA..Where I work we threw away 200 compaq deskpro PIII 500 Mhz pc's with 64Mb ram.....

dan, that ethernet card is definately not wi-fi .. lol

wi-fi wasnt even out when that card or pc was.

its a UTP/BNC 'combo' card, probably ISA, probably 10Megabit

I hope you saved 4 or 5 for me No I just don't let old computers go to waste (when I can).

Kern, JHendrix knew what it was, something like Tbase10 or something like that. I think it's actually PCI, but I'm not sure. I'll check later.
