Takumaji would be a great Mod. Limiting him to modding the KOF forums would be a waste though. He's got what it takes to be a Global Mod:

-he's level headed

-he knows what he's talking about Gameplay wise

-he doesn't use roms, and I do believe his Neo isn't even modded

-he doesn't spam: the only time you see him posting is when he has something insightful to say

He's the perfect candidate.

Tak for mod though, seriously, I'd employ this man if I was rich to speak gameplay all day so I wouldn't have to buy / read mooks. But I'm not rich.

Tsuka for mod too! It'd make his world complete!

Takumaji's the best candidate for mod there is. 100% agreement with tsuka's motion.

Would Tak accept the job though?

I'd be happy if we can have
ONE mod that can actually enforced the law around
here.

And permanent exile for kernow!

You'd ban me? wow

I'd just make a 'rimming zone' section for you to all change your avatars the same and stuff. :)

Naah, you're not really enough of a nuisance to warrant banning.

I'd love to continue this witty banter with you, but it kinda distracts from the seriousness of this thread.

I'll tell you what though, you can have the last word if you want.

I'm sure you've got some smartass comment you're just dying to get off your chest.

Enforce the law?

What is the law around here? Not to post non-neo related crap?

That would be a dream if I ever heard one.

But honestly, Shawn doesn't seem to mind spammers. In fact, the occasional idiot fest only keeps this place more interesting. Why would he want to axe that?

Come on now Charlie. If it wasn't for the spammers this place would collapse under the weight of the Gameplay Forums. You need some stuffing to go with your turkey.

I've said it in another thread, but if you truly enforce the "laws" around here to the letter of the law you'd have a pretty stale crowd after awhile. The Pocket Forum really has just withered away since the NGPC has been dead now for 3+ years. Up to about a year ago it was still pretty happnin' but without new games or news, it's slow going. I just hope the same doesn't happen to the rest of the forums.

I know Tak said he'd do the KOF forum in the oither thread I made in suggestions a long time ago.

He seems like a reasonable choice, although I really don't understand why another mod is needed. Everything around here lately seems like business as usual - a spam thread here, a flame war there ... but never really the type of chaos that would warrant clearing out/rehiring the current management.

The only thing that really seems different now is due to the death of the poor old Neo Geo. :crying:

Thank you, guys.

I wouldn't refuse to become a mod because I like this bbs and most of its members, but I would not want to become some sort of ng.com twat buster who is expected to ban idiots left and right. I would do what's necessary, but basically, I'm too focussed on gameplay-related stuff, that's what I'm here for, and that's the only thing I'm really interested in (that and the NGCD of course...).

the fact that support for new games is gone is enough to lead one to accept that this site too will lose wind.

I mean, with the increase in junk posts, quality posters will lose interest and go elsewhere. Like Blaine, Wolf, Briggs, and many other quality posters that hardly post or even lurk, because there's nothing neo related to talk about anymore. The only people that still make interesting neo related posts are Gemant and the Italian rommers like Baratoz and SonGoten. Outside of that, you get boring combos here and there on KoF which is so tired and honestly, should get a fork stuck in it.

Man, when Matrimelee or SVCC was coming out, that was interesting. But I don't think many people paid attention when KoF 2003 or MS5 came out - at least until MS5 was "rare," which just shows how diseased and terminal the scene is.

I couldn't agree more. Takumaji is most likey one of the best PERSON here.

He should really be assigned as a global mod.

Hell, if not a Super Mod, make him mod of the KoF and Gameplay section, those would be the spots he'd be best suited for, and if there's ever a Neo CD forum, he can mod that as well.

Tak's a great guy.

He's intelligent, honest, fair and one of the few people who not only knows a lot about the Neo (KOF especially), but he's also far more open in discussing it than most members - he's actually one of the only people here for the Neo.

But considering I'm one of the mindless spammers he's grown to dislike, I'm not sure how well my praise towards his membership status will go.

Plus I think Stinky is a riot... so my opinion may be DOA.
