Really there aren't that many "good" games, but there are quite a few "great" games ... at least there are enough to keep me from packing away the system. Here are just a few:

LOZ: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
Wave Race 64
Excitebike 64
1080
Mario Tennis

I also love Pilot Wings64. It's probably the #1 reason I don't just get rid of the N64. I like putting on the birdman suit and gliding around the island. It's relaxing like looking at a fishtank. Absolutely no purpose at all. Zelda and Mario, obviously.

I also will go against the grain by saying I enjoyed the Castlevanias. Not the greatest, but good fun once you get used to it, and a good story. And now that Castlevania LOI is here, the N64 CVs are no longer the worst in the series. Here's a fun thing about them: you can actually die. There are places where if you miss a jump, you will die instead of just falling to a lower level or something. Wheeee, kind of like the old days.

Other than that, not so much. Certainly nothing worth paying the expensive cart prices at the time, compared to PS or SS games that cost half. What's kind of sad is that of the 4 best reasons to own a N64 IMO (Mario64, Pilot Wings, Zelda OOT and Zelda MM), 2 of them were launch titles. If I hadn't've got the N64 as a gift, I might've been pissed.

Good call. I'm not a wrestling fan but these games were super fun, especially with three other friends.

That's what the N64 comes down to for me: multiplayer. It's the best multiplayer console evar IMO - i'd say the neo is better, but none of my friends like fighing games :crying: - and it's all thanks to the four controller ports. I know Sega did it first but Nintendo had the games to put it to use: Bond, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros., Mario Tennis, All Star Baseball '99 (if anyone else played this game they know what i mean), those wrestling games, even 1080 was fun when you played against someone else...

Sin and Punishment is one of the best games you will play, period. The voice acting is really good, and it's in English, so you'll understand it. Graphics are like Vagrant Story, but futuristic. Awesome game.

Castlevania Legacy of Darkness is really good. Not extremely hard, and the graphics are pretty decent considering the hardware. Control is actually pretty good. At least I have no problems with it.

Bust a Move 2 and Bust a Move 99 - pretty much perfect ports of the MVS versions of the same games.

Star Soldier - pretty good shooter, appears on every Nintendo console since dawn of time...

International Superstar Soccer (any) there are 3 of them. I guess 2000 would be the best, but I don't know. ISS 64 was pretty fucking great regardless, and that came out in 96, I think.
