What is the most inferior arcade port to console you've ever played?

After having played a bit of Strikers 1945 I&II PAL for PS2 (has it been released in US?), I find it to be terrible, specially at 50 hz. What other ports you found so inferior? Please take in mind the technical differences between the original arcade hardware and the console hardware.

Another one that comes to my mind is Radikal Bikers on PSX :oh_no:

Not just SNES. ALL Samurai Shodown ports except 3DO suck. It's a wonder why SS2 only stayed on Neo Geo, counting out the PC version from Interplay.

Yes! They had no business with Capcom whatsoever. They fucked up Megaman with that Game Gear game, and made Strider go MIA, being a background cameo feeling like an outcast at Ken's birthday party in SFA2, and wasn't heard from until Marvel vs Capcom came out.

TMNT II: The arcade game for NES - right graphics for the time, hit detection and play feel was crap-ass poor.

Mortal Kombat for SNES - terrible control, edited fatalities.

Fatal Fury for the SNES was a royal POS. It just seemed like such a shell of the arcade game - no voices, crappy sound, lousy backgrounds, and $hyte control. And for comparison, this game had to stand next to the SNES's port of Street Fighter II - which was pretty damned good for the time.

1st place: NARC for NES. Worst disappointment ever.

Runner up: NEO GEO SSVS homecart.

Honorable mentions:
Genesis: All fighting games, except for Samurai Shodown 1 and SF2 Championship Edition

SNES: Everything sucked. Well Samurai Shodown was ok.

I must disagree, granted i'm not amazingly familiar with the arcade versions, but the PS2 versions seem far from bad.

US GOLD are pure evil, best thing they did was the music tape for the 8bit microcomputers, Outrun arcade music o n tape in 88 was amazing :D, still listen to it today.

AGREED, Amiga 5500 SF2 = Worst ever, no question.

Real Bout 1 on the PS1. SNK really could not make much use of the hardware not that they had much to work with. But RB: Dominated Mind looked great and showed that 2D sprites could run on the system with enough knowledge.

Capcom made the same mistake with X-men vs Streetfighter. Marvel Super Heroes vs Streetfighter was a better port but still inferior to the arcade.

Samurai Shodown on the PSOne. Though it looked almost picture perfect, the lack of zoom hurt it a lot...plus the fact that the !@#$%& game took 15 forever to load before and after every battle and during the player selection board. Took 3 minutes to fight a 30 second battle :blow_top:

Pac Man - Atari 2600 - no explanation needed :D

Donkey Kong - Atari 2600 - only has 2 out of the 4 levels the arcade had

Golden Axe - PC Engine - looks and sounds horrible, play the Genesis version instead.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

You thought Mortal Kombat for SNES was bad?

Try any of the Mortal Kombat ports for the GB, and GBA.

I can't speak for the Deadly Alliances because I've never played it.

I'm not really sure you'd say it was a port, just a mistake on my part to think that it was a port.

But Alien vs. Predator for CPS2 arcade hardware was just so much fucking better than Alien vs. Predator on SNES.

Killer Instinct: Snes edition

Characters that were half the size of their arcade counterparts. No scaling made up for no long fireball fights. Not to mention what horrible sound effects and a butchered soundtrack. RARE, what were you thinking porting this game on the Snes? :oh_no:

IMO the worst port I've played is...

Street Fighter 2 on the Gameboy was not too good. They tried to make a decent port but they shoulda gone AOF on it and only had Ryu and Ken playable or something because the framerate makes it unplayable.

More like Slideshow Fighter 2.
