Hey, I can't get this thing to work. I only have 1 game which is Japanese so I have no way to test the cube although im sure its not the problem. Ok so if I put the jap disk in the pal cube it says 'cant read the disk check the manual' or something like that, but the freeloader wont do anything at all, I have tried all the different loading methods but the cube cant seem to read the disk.
Any ideas?

I never used one, but the freeloader is supposed to show a on-screen menu, where you must set it to the region of the disc that will be played (japan in this case).

Try to boot without the disc to see if a menu appears, or access the memory card manager, or load the game (without a game in the GC)... there must be a way to get that menu easily.

There is no selectable menu screen.

Put the freeloader in, wait for the screen to come up that says "insert game disc" and you're ready to go.

thats weird. It can take several goes to load certain games in my experience with it which is annoying. sounds like you may have a faulty disc
