Another reason to hate GMR (KoF review)

This is my first post here. Just signed up to post this.

I just wanted to show every one the double standards of GMR.

I scanned two reviews from this months GMR. One of King of Fighters: Maximum Impact. The other is of Capcom Fighters Evolution. They praise the KoF for being 3D and appealing to none 2D fans, but the make fun of the Capcom Fighting All-Star, a 3D Street fighter game that came out a while ago.

Here you all go, you can read them here:

Sorry, the Capcom review is kinda hard to read.

Well, I see what you're saying, but I think they just mean that Capcom's execution in the 3-D arena has been less-than-stellar. They should've said "the idea was good, but the execution was weak," or something along those lines. Anyway, I was glad to see that both games got pretty positive previews - a magazine like EGM probably would've dumped all over 'em.

Thanks for posting the article - I enjoyed it.

I actually like GMR quite a bit. Seems to have a bit more of an edge than EGM or GamePro, although I do like GP too.

Capcom Fighting All-Stars never came out. It got canceled due to projected suckiness and lack of consumer interest. GMR seems to have been pretty generous to Capcom Fighting Jam/Evolution (in fact they gave it -- a 2D fighter -- 4 flames of "hotness", compared to 3 flames for the 3D KOF:MI), so I don't get what the complaint is about.

But welcome to the boards.

I can't wait for both games.
