Not sure if someone made a thread, or is updating one of the old ones, but i'm wondering how people felt about it this year.

I really enjoyed myself, which sort of suprised me, because I was hoping to play CvS2, but hadn't brought my DC arcade stick, thinking they'd have some... But they didn't, oh well.

I didn't get to meet anyone from here (or maybe I saw them, just didn't see any outstanding signs like a neo geo shirt etc) but I met a lot of a cool people. I spent most of my time seeing movies (Anyone else get into Zatoichi?) and getting owned on the Alpha 2 cab. I don't know if anyone saw me (white, 5'10?, shit load of brown hair) but the people I talked to the most weren't from N-G.com. If a lot of people are still going next year, i'd like to meet up sometime, would be fun.

Hmm. I'm surprised you didn't see me there. I'm kind of easy to pick out, in even the Otakon crowd. From the ears, to the slit-eyes(it freaks people out because they look natural), to the tail, I'm typically seen as a human fox there. (My neo-geo.com identification look :) ) The resident neo-geo.com fox boy is always easy to see. :)

Still, it was tough trying to organize the others to join me for Karaoke, this year. It was nice that they had open mic, but it was very tough to get any certain spot.

I think I'm going to give up doing any Saturday Karaoke as it's just a gamble as to when you do it. On Sunday, however, it's quite easy to ensure a good 10:30-11:00 AM time slot. Got to do it on Sunday, but didn't run into anybody as I guess they were carrying stuff home, by then. I noticed the Samurai Shodown 5 Special and KOF 2003 was gone, today; so that's my clue that people left. Nevertheless, I think I did really well at Otacafe again, this year. I got quite a few people asking me about Matrimelee so they can check it out for themselves. A shame it wasn't set up in the game room; because if I could tell them, they would've gone straight to the game room to play it. One day, we need to have a www.neo-geo.com gathering for Otacafe and sing an appropriate song or two. Even if you can't sing well, you can at least do the DEBU song. :) :) :) :)

The Otakon was very cool, though. Particularly since you got a free seat to see L'Arc en Ciel perform their first concert on U.S. soil. Very cool, and I quite enjoyed myself, there. I just had to pick up their 'Smile' CD.

Still, the usual cool stuff came back, like Aliens vs. Predator arcade. My cousins had a ball on the Turtle in Time machine, and I saw even stuff like the Dungeons and Dragons Shadow over Mysteria arcade (also playable in the AvP cab).

My main playtime was on Darkstalkers 3, and I didn't find another opponent that could beat me other than my friend (and Vampire Savior rival) of whom I came with. I kind of voluntarily left the machine when I had to do other stuff, though. It's just that B.B hood is just too fun to play with. :) :) :)

I remember one guy, at the con, who just was destroying people on SSVS, with Haohmaru. I forgot the winstreak he got. He was like on 37 and I didn't even stick around to see how much longer he would go. KOF 2003 seemed to have a few guys who played the pretty boys (like Ash, Kyo, and Iori) (oh, and Kim too) and were quite skilled in their play. It was nice seeing them played at competition level, so often.

I remember that on Friday, there was a girl kicking ass at KOF2003; her secret seemed to be speaking with the characters she picked. A bit bizarre, but whatever works, I guess.

If anyone saw me, I was the guy in the navy golf shirt sort of hovering between the cabinet enclave and the big SSVS screen. I enjoyed moderate success at the KOF2003 cab with a Kyo/Terry/Robert team, as well as at the big screen with Gato/Yamazaki/Billy (and might I add, it's good to see Billy and Yamazaki back in KOF).

I didn't spend much time near the MVS (I liked there arcade setup better this year than last) or the big screens, because I haven't had a chance to play the newer games, and thats what everyone was playing.

Yeah, I didn't know that there was going to be a concert but we saw the line (I assume thats what it was, all the people outside). Must've been a long wait

I saw you last year (Kirk) near the big SvC, and i'm going to have to agree on the eye comment =P

Otakon 2004 was a good one. I have seen a lot of KOF characters including Mai *drools* but I wish there are more people that dress up as Samurai Showdown Characters. I was the only one who dressed up as Ukyo Tachibana. I am looking forward to see my pics that are taken, either on this site or wherever.

My pictures will be coming soon. I need to get them developed on a photo CD. I have to still finish up the pop-shot camara I have and then all my pictures will be done.,

I had fun at the room meet up, sorry I stunk to high heaven, the humidity down there was insane and it was a pain in the ass waiting to get an elevitor in the Windum.

I really wasn't in the gameroom all that much. I played against EvilMike in ShowdownSpecial and he, of course kicked my ass.(SvC hit detction!) I did however take one guy off with 14 wins with the new guy that has all the swords (sorry I forgot his name) and I ended up having an 8 game winning streek with him. I'd love to get the game and a move list of him because I liked the way he fights.

I got a ton of stuff in the dealers room, all four volumes of the Naruto Manga which I REALLY like alot, and I'll be getting the DVD's soon as well as the GameCube game which I also liked alot.

I need to check out www.afansview.com and check out the pictures from the convention. There's just so many damn people and when they say "OH! Did you see that guy dressed up as _______?" there's way too many people to keep track of.

Hope you all had fun. I'll be there again next year. :mr_t:
