Is this fall/winter going to be the best gaming season ever?

When I think about all the shit I want to play from now until January, it makes my head swim:

Halo 2 (talk about a meal in itself!)
Gradius V (the footage makes me wanna shit myself)
Hot Shots Golf Fore! (online play finally comes to the KING of golf games)
SF Anniversary Collection (the online play I've always dreamed of)
Guilty Gear XX#R (yet more amazing online play)
Castle Shikigami 2 (mmmmm, more shooter goodness)
OutRun2 (there IS a God)
The rest of the badass Sega 2K5 sports lineup (at $20 a pop too)
Burnout 3 (more high-speed racing goodness)
Fable (bout time we had some more decent RPGs on the Bawks)

I'm probably missing a few, but seriously, what a hell of a time to be a gamer.
I can't think of a time when there were more MUST-HAVE games coming our way.
And not just some cheesy casual-gamer blockbuster crap either, we're talking some serious beat-the-controller-silly shit here. Just occurred to me what an amazing time we're all in for.

Personally, I'm really psyched about Metroid Prime 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3 should also be pretty fekkin' sweet. And the new GTA to a lesser extent, but mostly because I'm a sucker for 80's/early 90's environments :).

And about Halo 2 .... all I can say is that this game better fucking ROCK. All the delays, all the press coverage - if this game doesn't kick ass, M$ is gonna feel it.

I am looking forward to Resident Evil 4 more than any other game ever I think. Add Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2, Silent Hill 4, Star Wars: KOTOR 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, SF Anniversery Collection, and who knows what else I'm forgetting, and it comes out to be one of the best years for gaming ever.

Now, if only I could actually afford all these games...

Don't forget DOA Ultimate, Phantom Battler, KOF 2002/2003 (online), MS 4&5 (X-Box), Sam Sho 5 (maybe online), and many others.

Halo 2 - Probably the only FPS that I am really looking forward to.
Gradius V - I already have it, best game ever?
Guilty Gear XX#R - Great game, I already have a copy as well.
Castle Shikigami 2
- Very good shooter, really worth getting.
OutRun2 - I want to play this at home so much.
The rest of the badass Sega 2K5 sports lineup - Hmm... I still have to get a copy of ESPN NFL 2K5
Burnout 3 - This game looks amazing.

You should also mention Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater, Dead or Alive Ultimate, BioHazard4... and well, the releases of both the PSP and DS.

In my list I was sticking to things I know I'm going to play the absolute shit out of.
RE4 and MGS3 have got plenty of fans, but both those series bore the living hell out of me. As for Metroid Prime 2, I don't own a Cube, never beat the first one, and I probably won't mess with it for a long time.

Forgot about Doom 3. It's only out for PC in a few days. I guess everybody will keep us posted as to how good it is. I wish I could participate in the Doom 3 reviews, but if I put it in my PC I'll probably get nothing but a wav file with John Carmack laughing at me, or something.

"What?!?! You expect to run Doom 3 with that?!?! Oh hohohohohohohoho!"

Did somebody notice that about 99% of the mentioned games, are just sequels? I'm looking forward to most of them anyway, but I would also like to see something new.

As far as original titles, I'd have to give a big nod to Fable and Jade Empire.
Both should be awesome RPGs that'll help alleviate the drought on the Box as far as role-playing.

I'm looking foward to finding the original games real cheap when the sequels come out.

I'll finally get to play some Halo!

Even though it's still the summer, only about a week left until Winning Eleven 8. Yet another one to chalk up in the list of amazing games coming out in this timeframe.

Lets not forget Gran Turismo 4. That game looks absolutely gorgeous. I'm calling it now... best driving game ever!

All I care about are:

KILL ZONE
MGS III: Snake Eater
Shell Shock: NAM 1967

with that I've got everything I need... unless of course LO-Interactive decides to hit us up with a "Gaiden" to Freedom Fighters

all i need will come when this clock mark 00:00:00:00

Doom3 is not exactly a sequel but a retelling of the first one. I've seen the new cacodemon, that "spider with woman body" from quake, a head through a door... fucking fucking awesome. There's no way that game can be shitty. If it turn out to be flop it will be the BIGGEST flop ever. Seriously... it looks TOO good to be bad. Only fucked up controls or something like that could spoil it.

Also i'm interested in Prince of Persia 2. From the E3 video i saw it looked more "darker" and Sands of Time was one of the best games of last year IMO.

If you ask me, I think it's a bunch of fucking bullshit.

1/11/05?!?!?! WTF!?!?!

Well, maybe they are working out some kinks in the online department. Hopefully lag won't be a major issue with it.

Other than that, I don't see why it would be delayed that long.

Um, there's two way this can be viewed.

The first, and most obvious way, is to say GAWD FUCKING DAMMIT SHIT-FILLED PUS INFECTED MUTHAFUCKING (*&^%$(@^%(@^(*^@)(*

The other way (the one have to resort to so I can be cool with it) is to say, well, if it means less laggy play, it's worth it. Honestly though, when CvS2 plays well, it's just fine, I don't see how radically different the network code for these games could possibly be. Oh well, more CvS2 for now. BTW, if you wanna or anyone else wants to play late tonight, I'm down.
