Does anybody know where I should buy the Final Fantasy Tactics OST? I want to make sure that I don't get a rip off one because I see ones with different pics. I want this one, not this one (If there's a difference). So, anybody know a reliable site to buy it from (Looking for a new one for under $30)?

Email Dash no Chris' shop, Hoteiya LV and see what they can do for you. All the places I usually check after Hoteiya don't seem to have the FFT OST for sale anymore.

That particular OST is no longer manufactured. Hoteiya LV is probably your best option, if you don't want a boot.

The catalog number for the legit release is SSCX-10008 with a price of 2854 Yen (rouhgly $28).

Unofortunately I ordered mine from GameMusicOnline, it was listed as the DigiCube release and they sent me a fucking bootleg turd and charged me the price of the legit copy. I don't buy from them anymore.

I couldn't find it on either of those sites. The same with animeaudio.com
That's because it's no longer manufactured.

Email Hoteiya and see if they can get. Dash no Chris has been great at finding a couple of obscure titles for me before.

You can also try Amazon Japan. It's all in Japanese but runs exactly the same as the US counterpart.

I already searched there for it, however, and it is NOT listed there either.

Actually, here it is listed on Amazon Japan.

It's not for sale. See that bottom price? That's the price they sell it for in the market place when it is available. ¥2854 originally, for sale in the market place (though not even available there right now) for the discount price ¥6,800! That's a price of about $30, jacked up to $70.

edit- I'm going to Otakon from Fri-Sat. I can check the dealer room and see if anyone has it. I can pick it up for you if so and you can just PayPal (plus the cost to cover the PayPal fees) me the money or something and I'll ship it to you.

If you wanna go that route, what's the absolute maximum you are willing to pay? If you tell me your max is $30, and I see it for $30.01, I won't pick it up.

A little OT: How does Amazon work when dealing with other merchants? Do you go through the whole buying process through their system, even though your buying it from another merchant? Could somebody explain this to me?

You pay Amazon. Amazon pays the merchants. Merchant ships your stuff.

It's pretty much the same as half.com

Be careful not to get stuck with a bootleg. If someone in the US is selling it off Amazon in the market place, I'm guessing it's a boot.

They have it listed, but it's not for sale any longer.

Also, read my post regarding GameMusic. They can suck my dick from the back for charging me for a legit copy, which I thought I was getting, then sending me a bootleg. I won't order from them anymore.

Sorry animeaudio.com didn't work out for ya. That's where i got my copy of FFT OST last year. About the only other place i can think of is,Yahoo Japan. If you need help bidding there try http://www.rinkya.com . They ofther a bidding service for people who want,to use Yahoo Japan.

The only other thing you can try, which I believe was already posted, was to try going to an auction deputy service from Yahoo Japan and see if you can find a copy on there.

There are plenty of deputy services out there. Rinkya is probably one of the easiest to use since you can search in English. I use them to find my auctions, then go through Masato/M-World to buy. You are going to pay quite a bit for it this way.

One more thing, have you PMed Dash no Chris yet? He's saved my ass a bunch of times and should be your first stop, IMO, all the time.

There are plenty of boots to be found on teh eGay.

Are you referring to FFT OST or the FFTAdvance OST? I saw them for sale at Kinokuniya, although lotta good it'll do now seeing that the store is closed. The clerk was kinda absent-minded, he said it'll close next tuesday, yet he told me the store's last day was Mikka (which means the third day of a month in Japanese). But, if you are looking for the latter, and on the off chance that the store is still open, I'll pick up both those soundtracks for you, if you still want them.
